    Hi everyone,

    I’d like to propose this highly unique and scenic Italian route that would be perfect for TSW: the Cumana and Circumflegrea network in Napoli, Italy. (I know it is the second route set in Napoli I've made a suggestion about but it's where I leave. I'll make suggestions about routes set elsewhere soon)

    The two lines are operated by EAV (Ente Autonomo Volturno) and they share both the same terminus in the center of Naples but offer two completely different driving experiences, forming what is known as the "Anello Flegreo" (Flegrean Ring)

    The Cumana Line: Approx. 20 km. (16 stations) This is a stunning coastal route. It leaves the underground terminus in Naples, runs right along the coastline of the Gulf of Napoli, passes through the volcanic Campi Flegrei area, and ends at a pier station in Torregaveta

    The Circumflegrea Line: Approx. 27 km. (17 stations) This is the inland counterpart. It features tight curves, steep gradients, urban tunnels, and services the densely populated western suburbs of Napoli. (Historically, this line also reached Torregaveta to close the loop)

    Line 7
    The line diverging from Soccavo, which currently ends at Monte S. Angelo, is the under-construction Line 7, which in the future will connect Soccavo with Bagnoli or Edenlandia. The first station opened in 2025, and it could be represented in-game depending on the year in which the route is set.

    Route features
    The network requires constant attention to speed limits due to the twisting nature of the track. It also utilizes Italian safety systems (SCMT) which would introduce a fresh signaling and safety mechanic for players to master. Driving with Mount Vesuvius, the Mediterranean Sea, and ancient Roman ruins (such as Cuma and Pozzuoli) in the background would also make this one of the most visually distinct routes in the game.

    Rolling stock:
    ET.100

    The first purpose-built trains for these lines, and the first EMUs to run on them. Operational from 1961 to 2023.

    EN.300
    They were modeled after the ALe 803 in the 70s. They were decommissioned in 2015 following a fire at the Fuorigrotta depot.

    ET.400
    Built in the '90s and still operating today. One was also repainted for the Scudetto won by Napoli in 2023.

    ET.500 "Alfa 3"

    They were ordered in 2006 and delivered in 2017. They come in two different series, with the only differences being the seating layout and the bike racks.

    Timetable(s)
    The reason I've put all of the trains above is that I'm really indecided between:
    1) a 2013 timetable (before the tracks from Licola to Torregaveta on the Circumflegrea closed) wich would feature the ET.400 and ET.100 with maybe also the EN.300;
    2) a 2023 timetable with the ET.400, ET.500 and ET.100;
    3) or a 2025 modern timetable with the ET.400 and ET.500 and including Line 7.
    A fourth option could be having the 2013, or 2023, timetable as standard and the other one as a gameplay pack with the other two trains, but (even though it's not a big "but") the route would not be 100% time accurate for both.

    Let me know what you think, if you have anything you would change, and what timetable you would like to see!
