As much DTG bleat on about console editions NOT holding back the PC side of things I really am starting to believe that notion is simply not true!

As mentioned earlier, on the vid of British Ace you can clearly see a lot of lag and even screen freezing. I never noticed this on other vids of him, so I suppose this happened because of the DLC/new timetable.

You really believe that ‘quality control’ happens there?

To be fair, quality control is what caused them to delay it at the last second (if it wasn't, they would just have released it). You can question the timing of it all, but quality control is definitely there.

Yes until you put Dostos behind and go over 70 km/h you often get a traction lock

If Quality Control had been there, it wouldn't have been left to the last moment to delay it.

Yup, just like in ATS’ videos apparently several issues with the Class 90 were caused by QA finding an issue then fixing it, by pulling bits from 2 separate builds, combining them into one and pushing it.

That isn’t QA. They’re building software like it’s Lego.

You have to wonder if they do QA, find issues, attempt fixes & then don’t QA the fix.

I’ll be honest. If this is the last DLC they release for the next 6 months, and instead shift 100% focus to fixing bugs and patching things, I’d be a happy man.

Having said that, I was kinda looking forward to this loco, more so than the somewhat tepid 90 release, so I’m a little sad.

Quite disappointed by this news with, in my opinion, insufficient information about what the issue is. Multiple videos on youtube showed a working DLC but this is quite a late notice. Don’t want to speculate too much but I sincerely hope the bug fixing for console didn’t break the pc build. It gives me the impression it did since it was showcased by community contributors.

This leaves me with a request/advice. Please don’t announce something if you are yet unsure whether it will work in a stable build that will release. In my opinion it’s unprofessional to announce something a week in advance only to cancel it hours before release (and a day in advance for consoles). I get the feeling that more and more releases are announced before proper testing and quality assessment is being done. This leaves me with a feeling I don’t want to buy DLC’s at launch because it’s yet unknown if they will even work as designed. I have the feeling that a year ago this was better.

To end on a positive note, the previews from community contributors was looking fantastic and it looks like some great effort and work has been put in this locomotive for which I thank the developers.

Was really looking forward to this release. Hopefully things get sorted out quickly and in the future stable releases are the norm.

Why? Because they get to play with the new toy before you? Stop being so childish. Content creators received a preview version. And that’s what they did, preview the product, for us for enjoy and evaluate. This delay doesn’t change anything about that.

Signed. New content is always exciting, but at this stage I'd prefer seeing all effort put into improving what's already there.

I'm not mad because of the sudden delay of the 147... I'll rather wait a bit longer than getting a(nother) half-baked released-too-early DLC.
At least it shows that there is a QA process working at DTG after all, and stuff is being tested right up to the deadline (and beyond?) :)

This is something that's pretty needed, TSW's own "Operation: Health".
There are so many features that have been added over the games... that simply don't work properly.

Sorry, but what would you rather DTG do? Release it like it is and then have you lot bitching and bleating on the forums a few months or they postpone the release and fix it?

Not aimed at you but people are quick to moan, and slow to show praise.
It's disapointing yes, but I would rather it goes back and gets sorted before release.

l agree Hentis. Sensible of DTG to delay the release until the issues have been resolved.
