Oooooohhhh Yesssssssss! A Ludmilla!!! Soooooooooo excited!!!! Rhein ruhr osten finaly gets some shunting as well!! HRR for the 420 I believe is a typo though. Should be for HMA, because the unit TSG is modeling is configured with LZB for the Stammstrecke. Here's the untextured/unfinished cab of the G6:
Oh yes, the BR 232 "Ludmilla" will be a very good addition to the game! As for now, this is the single thing that I´m eagerly waiting for. It will be epic! And it is very good to see Rhein-Ruhr Osten getting some love too. Maybe, when the G6 comes, they will also fix the weird slope issue where you can go from 1.5% to 0% within a meter and so on on RRO. We will have to see if that will come, but I'm so excited for all three of these trains. Can't wait
It’s not just the tracks, some of the road inclinations and changes are downright scary. Still a great route though.
The BR232 is a nice surprise. Looking forward to that one. Certainly something different from what's already in the game.
I love that V300 loco so much. It is one of my favorites since my childhood days. In that time it called DR BR 132. I had 2 scale model locos from the very simular predecessor, the DR BR 130. One in DR and one in ČSD livery. For me it's the most capable heavy diesel in Germany, especially with the updated Kolomna V12 engine with more power (4000hp) and less fuel consumption.
Ohh, I love these TSG-masterpieces, Ludmilla is a must have, but also BR 420 and Vossloh will be release-day buy. Thanks a lot Maik!
I know little about German trains but learning slowly, but I do love the look of the class 420 EMU and Ludmilla. Be nice to have some older German content to drive alongside the modern.
Regarding the German content in general, its very nice to see that the BR101 is now "In Production" and so is the Hamburg-Lubeck Railway with the BR112 and BR182 MRCE. The BR187 is also not that far away I guess. There's much coming in the kinda near future.
Interesting. I didn't know the 232 was used for passenger services. I expected it to be a freight locomotive.
Wow, thats really cool! Ludmilla is technically a Soviet locomotive. So its the first time we get something completelly different from usual german/british/american content! Instabuy!!!
"completely different" might be a tad exaggerated. It's different, but it's still running on German tracks, in German livery, pulling German trains. The DB Ludmilla will end up on my wishlist, probably waiting for a decent sale. Now, if the Ludmilla came in it's Soviet livery, along with Soviet wagons, and a Soviet route. Now that would be something "completely different". That'd be an instabuy for me.
Haha, yep, right you are! Hope we will see wider selection of countries in game someday! Its called Train Sim World...it should match that name somehow better. Ludmilla is a nice step though
We're getting there a little faster than Train Simulator did. We have Canada, soon France, and Switzerland is in production. Took Train Simulator a decade to get to 6 countries I bet :P
As people seem to get rather excited about the Br 232 (just like me), I thought I‘d share this video with you because it might be difficult to find for non-Germans because of its German title. It‘s a 20min cab ride with the controls in view. You can hear the lovely sounds a Ludmilla produces.
Want to enhance lamplight with a link to a channel of a 232 driver with 4k Equipment: https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCZXB_WOu2iSYZeWj1C4p2Zg
There was nothing more insane that these beasts pulling 4 passenger cars. Saw that myself only once, but it's deeply engraved in my memory. Definitely not the case anytime soon. They were only used this way at the very eastern side of Germany and were replaced due to running costs in ca 2000. No TSW German route is set in that period or area.
I will try to equip the 232 with passenger door controls too. I dont know exactly if they have those controls already IRL (i guess so), but they had it. So it could be possible to do passenger runs with it. But there will be no services or scenarios like that. Only thing i see is the ability to make scenario editor consists for maybe some dosto and the eventually upcoming IC coaches (with the BR101). But i can't promise anything like that yet. I will need to have a try once the loco is in place for testing this out. That's still a long way ago yet.
Thank you for being open to ideas from the community. Really appreciate it! Oh yes! No missing SIFA alarms with that on your desk
Not the usual SIFA of course. It is a SIFA86 system. You can't press the reset pedal when you want to, you need to watch that big lamp and when it gets lit, you need to reset the SIFA then within 2+2 seconds. That's why it is so big. I is called a "Demand SIFA" -> "Aufforderungs-SIFA" in German words.
Does this "special SIFA" have the same intervals as the normal one or is it different when you have to wait for it?
Timings are kinda random. But inbetween 30 seconds. It is possible that you need to reset it within the 30 seconds twice.
One question? I know there are already existing two "Ludmilla" versions for the TS2021. One older version with too narrow front windows and without SIFA (I guess) and a newer version for the "Seddin" Addon, which looks perfectly modeled. I hope we'll get the "Seddin" version, I'm really excited about it!
I don't think so because of licensing. It will be pure DB what matches also the DB Cargo ones. The 3d art is a complete new build. It wil match the real one as good as possible And if someone now asks which real one: it will be the original type of a 232 with the old fans and original KVD motor. The version in TS1 is a modernised type with Siemens fans (but it uses the sound of the original one).
So licensing is still a problem despite Railion already being available for several locomotives in TSW2? That's a shame
Not possible. There will be only one version. That's what i am capable of to do. A 234 is way different to a 232. Is it? I will discuss this later with DTG. Texture wise it's not a huge task to add it as a livery option. Maybe as a random thing based on numbering. But the majority of original 232s are pure DB or DB Cargo these days. Railions were mostly modernised 232s. So Railion would not really fit the model.
The 185.2 on MSB is Railion DB Logistics, the Habbiins is Railion, so the licenses are probably there for both.
I was looking at some picture on the internet, and notice it too has a steering wheel, and I still do not understand what is a steering wheel for in a rail only locomotive
