Loco convoys heading to railway centres or heritage railway galas almost always have the trailing locos with their engines off, I tried a pretend loco convoy to the South Devon railway on the Riviera Line but and had the trailing locos' engines off. It consisted of a 66 leading, a 45, 37, 20 and 47, I released the brakes and turned the locos off, then set off completely fine. Though, when I braked for red signal, the brakes on the locos wouldn't release. I hope this becomes a feature because you could add services to routes with diesel loco convoys going to heritage galas.
