    Indeed.
Imagine if this was "School Bus Sim World 3" and you missed the school because you were barrelling down the road outside it at 60. What would you expect to be the reasonable outcome?

You wouldn't be around for long if you used emergency brakes at every station, let alone get a "gold star" for it or even be able to operate any train without proper training in the first place, this is game closer to an arcade game than a proper simulator, but most important, it's a game..

Nothing, you'd turn the bus around and go back, obviously.

If this game was realistic, a SPAD or excessive use of the emergency brakes should kill the game in task manager, uninstall the game and delete it of one's steam library.

There's a big difference between a bus and a train simulator. Roads do not have signal blocks and dispatched paths and slots. You proceed when traffic allows.

And if you were to do that in reality, setting back crossing the platform exit signal again - it would also show red because you're off path. The block you were in previously would have to be manually cleared again and the whole dispatching would need to be checked by a human dispatcher. Keep in mind that a following train could be already be past the entry signal of the platform. This could end in chaos.

Real procedure in Germany when overshooting is to continue to the next stop - even if you have not passed a signal. Reversing is basically forbidden.

In a previous thread Matt explained how the dispatcher works - can't find it now.
