The first one is just the CML, the second comes with the first and also includes the Medway Valley Line between Strood and Paddock Wood and the Kent Mainline between Paddock Wood and Tonbridge This allows for the Medway Valley line service between Strood and Tonbridge as well as freight services from Tonbridge Yard, the ballast quarries near Paddock Wood to Hoo and runs up towards Gravesend (new version)

Thanks for this. I have the Gillingham routem and was going to buy the second, but Steam warned it was a duplicate purchase, but there's a fair difference it seems.
Have a look in the Store in the Steam Client and find both routes - it will tell you if both are in your library or not. Maybe you already have the extended version
