The rules specifically allow for the upper light to have a high beam setting as well, however, in a lower intensity setting then the two lower lights. Many locos do actually use this as well… not sure about the ICE
I knew I have seen a reference somewhere, and here it is: And just to put this into perspective, these are the specs for the two lower lights: And to cover the regulatory side of things, this is what is allowed according to EN15153 (which is equivalent to the relevant UIC spec):
Ofcourse it's unlocked. That's the third time I've repeated this? IF AFB ON(lever >0 km/h) - train doesnt start moving(no power to the motors). IF AFB OFF - train is start moving.
I tried the first Kessel-Fulda service with 101 (at 9.03 in the morning), a few minutes before writing here on the forum and it works perfectly for me. From what you write it seems that no power is reaching the motors. Are the doors obviously locked? If you follow the steps above you should also see the speed set by the AFB on the HUD (as well as on the locomotive's speedometer). If the diamond does not appear next to the set speed, there is something wrong. Also check the various brake pressure values, the various needles. The BC must drop to 0.0 otherwise you won't move the train.
Only AFB doesn't work for me. Doors, brakes, keys and any oyher things are working as intended. AFB doesn't displays on the speedometer and won't let train to move. When I disable AFB everything start working. I wrote about it on the first page.
2 possible causes: 1: You have a buggy AFB while I on XBX and the other user who tested it on PC don't have the bug. 2: You make a mistake in entering the AFB. The AFB if activated correctly (in addition to the vocal "AFB, AFB") also shows you a pointer/diamond on the locomotive speedometer and on the HUD speedometer. If not inserted correctly it will most likely not unload the BC needle (to 0.0) and that's why, in my opinion, the train doesn't move. In your case, only when you turn off the AFB does the BC needle drop to 0.0. And this happens if you make mistakes in activating the AFB (that's why you don't see the pointer on the set speed). Note: If you don't solve it, make a video so maybe we can all understand better.
If I made a mistake while interacting with AFB, why it start working after I stopped the train and repeat exactly the same procedure? It won't work only on start, then it start working. Please, read what I wrote on the first page.
