So I was wondering if it is possible to kind of do your own thing within TSW 2020? and which mode works best for that. I've been trying to take a BR Class 45 in timetable and hook it up to a cargo train and run it, but i can;t get past any of the red signs, is there a way to turn them off or so? or are you stuck doing the jobs that Dovetail has put in the different game modes without the room to do your own thing? Also how do you do that (the hooking up to different carts)? I have not seen it in any mission yet, and i don't want to ferry passengers to and fro most of the time. P.S. I have the founders edition of the game through gamepass.
You cant outside of the services or timetable im afraid. Also you cant do freight runs on the route you are describing with the gamepass version you will need to buy the freight dlc for £11 from the store
ah okay, thanks for the info! it seems the only freight i can do is a run for the mobile post office thing.
I feel like they did miss an opportunity here though, you grab a loc you like and drive it to a yard to hook up some carts/cargo and run with it. that would be fun to do I feel.
If you purchase the BR Heavy Freight pack, it will give you a Class 40 and TEA tankers. Once loaded, you can drive the tanker trains with the class 40, the class 45 or the class 47. You can also use these locos with the van train from Newton Heath.
