It would probably be worth throwing a shout out for the roadmap into the announcements section, especially as the stream said Thursday but all the forum chat and FAQ pages say Wednesday.

 

Hence why I coined my acronym: "Slightly Less Than High-Speed Rail". ;-)

 

Yeah, that's the SNG, our latest, CAF-built generation of single-decker commuter trains, after the German-designed(?) Sprinter Light Train (SLT), and the Stadler FLIRT. Personally, I'm partial to the FLIRT, but I'll settle for this one.

Out of interest… what would keep you on TSW4 instead of upgrading to TSW5 for free without purchasing any additional content?

 

About the ICE-T: I'm kinda pining for some backwards compatibility with Tharandter Rampe. It would be loads of fun running it through the twisties.

 

So this means that I can use that starter pack to upgrade to TSW5 itself and I‘ll have all my existing stuff etc.? And afterwards I could buy Frankfurt-Fulda and the Flixtrain too?
Or will there be some kind if regional editions, with only German content?
I‘m just thinking about how I‘d upgrade to TSW5 as I honestly have no desire to purchase a pack with 2 routes in the UK/US I have no interest at all in…

The features that aren't route-dependant: features like the improved live-map. IMHO, just being able to readily see where *I* am makes it a day-one thing for me.

 

Yes, you'll have all your existing stuff, there will also be a German route only version at launch, just not for pre-orders.

Yup, Im disappointed. Nothing really that we already didn't know. Aside from the MBTA route, but thats about it.

 

Remaster does not include extensions. It's why it's called remaster, not extension

 

Myself and others were/are hoping for some more London Underground content. Central/Piccadily/ Jubilee/Circle/District Line (individual or a couple of lines), that link-in with the existing Bakerloo Line content. Or even any of the global Metros (New York, Japan, France, Spain, Australia, etc.)

I’d personally love Greater Anglia: London Liverpool St to Clacton-On-Sea.

Give us something really exciting and revolutionary, instead we get more boring German scenic stuff. Meh.

I honestly don’t believe the devs and bosses at Dovetail read the forums and what people ask for. Just the financial deals that can be made (Roblox?) to preserve the longevity of the business.

Not forgetting the bakerloo! To Queens Park! Yes the route is shorter than the WCML but damn we are getting a London commuter mark 2. It'll be a very busy route!

 

With the Welsh network I'll be happy with 143/150/153 or will they do a modern one with 197s and 231? Do the 197s do much of the valleys or city network?

 

The loco also has a different cab according to matt.

 

The loco is not a reskin. The Flex Vectron has a different cab layout than the Railpool and DB versions so all 3 Vectrons are different from a driving interface perspective.

 

I was just comparing DLC list TSW 4 and 5 - there are three pre-order mini DLCs that of course are missing from 5, but what I dont understand is why New York - Trenton doesnt appear on TSW 5 DLC list... I am pretty positive I purchased that one... well, I guess I will see on September 12th (pre-ordered deluxe edition)

Route hopping seems to open up loads of options in theory. Interested to see if it is used to add to ECML for example

 

They probably had to choose between 2 new trainsets or have a dosto but no new trains lol. Anyways, at least there is a lot to play with

 

They don't run there in real life and never have as far as I know. Nothing to stop you putting it on the route in Free Roam though - I'm 100% going to give that a go too, should be great fun!

I’m mainly concerned about the ZUB262 balisses that are present on DCZ. Will the new route have those, too? (It does, in real life.) And does the recreation of the 411 understand it?

 

As fas as I'm aware, they said in the stream that there will be tilting, but I'm not sure.

 

That tilting DMU — I forgot the class number. — would tilt without ZUB262, but either not quite as far as with it, or it would not be allowed to go fast enough to tilt fully. Not sure which…

 

Class 87, North WCML and The Netherlands coming in the future actually has me excited.

 

Im presuming this will be post release on the PS5 as I cannot see the UK Bundle anywhere.

 

It would be good if the Pendolino and the 350 layered onto BCC to make the route more busier

 

Yeah, If I remember correctly, they only appeared after the full release on TSW4 too.

I’ve just seen on the roadmap that the whole “lioness” line, i.e. Overground, is going to be included including Class 710 for those of us who own the existing Overground line. I shall be spending a LOT of time on this route (as long as it as good as the Goblin line).

 

I would love it if when you are driving the station name would like pop up as you drive by

I reckon they’ll hold off on the layers here and possibly tie it in with some kind of remaster/timetable update or even a extended/network update thing if the Cardiff City Network route goes down well.

 

Love the new tsw5, was the pink in the 5 matts choice of colour for this year?

 

Do i understand it right that the addon bakerloo line will receive the new TOD4 and all other stuff as well? Or is it only the part of the section queen park - harrow & wealdstone on the new WCML route that get the new stuff?

The bakerloo 1972 in wcml comes with wcml, the one on bakerloo isn't used

DTG Matt , say I got the special edition of tsw and I have tsw4. Will I still have the transfer progress even if I didn't go for the free starter pack but went for the special edition.

 

I guess the transfer procedure will be as usual... aka keep TSW4 installed, install TSW5, run the game, sign in to your Dovetail account, and the transfer of progress and such shouldnt take long... after that is done, you can uninstall TSW4... I think which is why I am now freeing 200 GB of space on my HDD

 

I am hoping they left room for the Pendolino in the CC new timetable seeing as they would have known it was coming.
