thats nice :) might try some freight with it since it looks cool (plus I often see both DB and Railpool Vectrons stabled at or near Bratislava-Petrzalka station, waiting for either intermodal or car trains - there is Volkswagen Factory near Bratislava - Devinska Nova Ves station and since the section to border and Marchegg isnt yet electrified, cars are first shunted/taken to Petrzalka where 185s, 1016s or Vectrons pick it up :) )

I am also thrilled at finally having passenger use for Vectron :) as far as I understand, it will have full timetable only on the new route? I know they mentioned Scenario Planner and Free Roam but I dont really count those :D

If they are realistic, then you will have less than 10 runs. There are not that many Flixtrain services.

Here is the timetable of the Flixtrain line running on the modelled route: https://cdn-cf.cms.flixbus.com/drupal-assets/2024-08/FlixTrain_Timetable_FLX10_0908-1412.pdf (in German)

Those runs are non-stop between Fulda and Frankfurt (Main) Süd and take 50 min. There are at most 3 per direction.

but hopefully they will add it as layer in future and maybe some older routes... still better than like 1 or 2 with Railpool Vectron which were mostly empty coach services... considering how popular Vectron is atm with OBB (RailJet and NightJet 2nd generation have Vectrons and Vectron-shaped cab cars), I hope to see more passenger Vectrons in TSW in the future

Vectrons are very popular, there are over 2,400 units either in operation or on order for 17 different countries.
Even with livery designer I don't think you could cover all of the operators.

We could even have a Vectron on the future Dutch route.

I'm pretty sure there are other dlcs where the scenery isn't great or not realistic

Indeed. NTP gets praised, but looking at it with the same mindset as you are judging Rivet, you'll find it's "horrible" in places too. It's become all too easy to jump on the Rivet bashing bandwagon.

It seems to me that many are very biased towards Rivet's developments. I do not argue, they have their shortcomings and there is something to fix. As in many other DLCs from other developers.

I cannot agree with the criticism that some routes and locomotives are subjected to, they are all of acceptable or high enough quality for me, and I am glad that they appeared.

I would really like Rivet to love his work as a mother loves her own children, to pay a lot of attention to them after the release, to support and develop them constantly. I want more communication between the developer and the community and hope for his constructive feedback.

I dream of seeing a remaster of Arosa in a quality no lower than Bernina, or higher.

There is a lot of negativity on the forum regarding Rivet and I urge everyone to be more restrained and fair in their assessments. We will not get content improvements by humiliating its authors.

I wish the Rivet team creative success and universal recognition. I look forward to new additions from you.

But NTP is a 2018 route. I'm judging Fife based on Blackpool Branches and London Overground.

I think Rivet can do a beautiful job, as they did with the Bernina.

    Good morning.
What are the Flixtrain carriages called exactly?
    Uic-x/Bmmz264 and Bmmdz268?

I leave my personal point of view for the announcement of this game
I disappointed about announce of TSW 5 but, after the several leaks, it just was in the air. I think DTG made the WCML route because few people would have bought the new game. There are few new interesting feature, as conductor mode, Track Shadow Rendering, Digital Display Screens and free starter pack, but all the other don't make you a big step like from TSW 2 to TSW 3. It seems TSW 4 2.0 or TSW 3 3.0.
There is another question: deluxe bundle. The TSW 4 deluxe pack was formed by: 3 new route + 2 new locomotives + Dresden - Riesa remastered route (price €52, just discounted). This year there is: 3 new routes + cajon pass (no new service or optimizations, free for TSW 3 owners) + Avanti West Coast Pendolino + Flix Train Vectron (price €67,49, just discounted). Really? You could at least add new locomotives instead of a new livery for Vectron. The fact it has new livery (new brand), only two pantographs, 3 monitor instead 4 and the smooth body, it's not worth it. Or you could remaster an old route like last year instead to take a TSW 3 route without new features, etc.
The only interesting thing of this bundle is the class 390, but, but in this context, it is not worth buying it. The price doesn't meet the contents of bundle and i won't waste my money on this way.
I repeat it: they are my personal thoughts about TSW 5
I read about the GWE remaster but it doesn't appear like a route of TSW 5 launch but a future dlc (and free upgrade of just owners). It is like the West Somerset route for TSW 4.

    Hey sorry,

Something I didn't quite get from the announcements, about the starter pack. Do you only get to play it for only 30 days after getting it, or do you have 30 days to claim it to own it permanently?

You have to get it within 30-days of release. It’s withdrawn afterwards.

As the post above me says, you have to get it within 30 days of release and it is no longer available to get after that, but once you have got it you own it permanently.

That's not actually true, at least on Steam. Bundles are re-priced to remove DLC I already own- to the point that sometimes it's cheaper to buy the "bundle" for the one route I don't own than to buy the route individually!

NTP looked wonderful - by TSW1 standards. Today it looks really dated.

That's been true for me, too, but doesn't seem to apply (on Steam) to the Deluxe Edition, where I already own Cajon. Perhaps it's an 'edition' not a 'bundle'?
