Guys at Dovetail, good evening, can you please say what's being done to fix the serious issues we're having in TSW2? From what I'm following here on the forums and social media, all players are having issues across all platforms. The ideal would be if you put all your efforts to fix the problems and not release more DLC's. This game is amazing and that's why we want to continue playing without any major problems. We look forward to corrections. Big hug.
Tell that to the shareholders, they want bang for their bucks... And Matt and Sam has countless times told us in Q&A streams, that DTG is well aware of the problems, and are fixing it. The main problem seems when they upgraded Unreal Engine to version 4.26 which led to undesirable effects.
They have made formal statements about it. On their official streams. Stating everything they have been able to determine about the causes of the problems, and how they are trying to fix them. The request that they drop all development on everything else to fix the issues however betrays a lack of knowledge about how game development works. Different teams are constantly working on different things. Many devs making the new content have nothing to do with any of the systems which are experiencing issues. They cannot be forced to sit around twiddling their thumbs until a different bunch of people crack a problem. Their work can still get done without ever impacting the work to fix the core engine issues.
