https://live.dovetailgames.com/live...il-live-website-changes-scheduled-maintenance Apparently the Drivers Logbook is being discontinued. It's an old feature, and I admit I never really used it, but the idea behind it was kinda fun. Shame DTG never did improve on the feature IMO.
I used this function regularly, especially when I wanted to check which journey I had made yesterday and could see the finish time before driving in the opposite direction. Ich habe diese Funktion regelmässig benutzt, vor allem wenn ich nach schauen wollte, welche Fahrt ich gestern gefahren bin und ich die Schlusszeit anschauen konnte um dann in die Gegenrichtung gefahren bin.
Ah yes, I used Drivers Logbook for that too, back when I was trying to complete Mastery. I guess that says enough about the reliability of DTL and Mastery.
Not really an issue for me as I've never used it. Its good to see the website get a refresh, it hasn't got one since TSW2.
It was always a beta, and aside from checking it when I thought mastery wasn't working, I never really bothered with it. No great loss for me.
However. For all you leakers out there. This is eyes shining bright. the website changing throughout years has always been a goldmine for leaks. An example being the TSW6 special edition artwork, that was leaked with a website change last year. Could the same for TSW7 happen this year?
Well I can't see the point of getting rid of it, was kind of handy for checking what you had been up to, in the absence of a decent built in career mode. Which kind of begs the question, could this be because whatever is coming with TSW7 is finally a decent built in career mode or tracker. Or, like the forum changes, is it another desperate measure by a cash strapped business to save a few pence on server space and bandwidth?
I've only recently started doing the Mastery challenges but the website is so slow and flaky I wouldn't be surprised if they're trying to tidy it up a bit. I reckon it's the last place left on the internet where photo images load 90's-style line-by-line
Sad news for me this one, even though the functionality didnt change since TSW2 days. I used it a lot when giving feedback, as its much easier to track what service number it was than trying to figure it out from the game. I just wonder if we(the community) can somehow replace this with a 3rd party site, the local API currently I don't think gives out any stats data related to the profile, or if this can be extracted from the savegame file somehow. They must be stored since the medals are profile dependent. I just dream of being able to see what services I have done without needing to go through the tedium of the menu.
The special edition artwork was a leak that happened last year when searching through the DTG website, it wasnt official.
But im nearly sure the.same thing happened for TSW5. it was two TSW4 trains alongside the Flixtrain Vectron. Maybe im mistaken.
Literally never knew a logbook existed so can't really get upset but I never understood why this info isn't just shown in-game somewhere instead of exporting to a website.
Huh. I use Thirdrails for this since it keeps the logs locally. Never engaged with the mastery system so no idea this existed.
It looks like they already broke something in advance as I just went to do a quick ECS move on Riviera Line for part of the Monthly Mastey and the AP score for the GWR 150/2 had reset to zero!
Ah, might not be connected then as I haven't touched it for a few weeks. Maybe they created a new sub category or something.
It keeps a record of every run you made in TSW. It’s only flaw was it didn’t always capture the data if you didn’t go back to the main menu before exiting. It was a useful tool which I used more than once, particularly when pursuing a support enquiry or even just scratching my head, what route/train did I drive last Wednesday.
I thought they said dovetail would be down for a few hrs but still the same. DTG Alex is this even happing now.
As per my memory, the driver's logbook is useful but particular buggy. If any of the item in any page is broken or cannot be handled by this service, the entire page was not loadable. I do hope the service gets reinstated by some way.
