    Hi Jay,
Can you provide us list of others railway companies with whom you have good relationships?
    • CSX Transportation > the most of current stuff is related to them
    • Amtrak > mentioned more time ago and new release related to
    • Great Western Railway > Great Western Express DLC
    • S-Bahn Mitteldeutschland > Rapid Trasport DLC
Something as a candidate list for future TSW content possibilities.
No dates, no priorities, just "We are in touch with" (much more you most likely can't say):)
    Thanks!

DTG has licenses with atleast the following for TS18, possibly TSW. (Bold operators have the most content in TS18):
    • Amtrak
    • CSX Transportation
    • Norfolk Southern
    • NJ Transit
    • Metro-North
    • Union Pacific
    • BNSF in USA only
    • Caltrain
    • Canadian Pacific
    • Canadian National
    • Alaska Railroad
    • Southern Rail (incl. Gatwick Express)
    • Virgin Trains
    • Southeastern
    • GWR/FGW
    • CrossCountry
    • Arriva Trains Wales
    • London Overground (Transport for London)
    • Abellio ScotRail
    • Grand Central
    • Chiltern Railways
    • EWS/DB Cargo UK
    • Freightliner
    • SNCF
    • OBB
    • Rhaetian Railway
    • Deutsche Bahn
    • Metronom
    • MRCE
    • British Rail (Not subject to licensing)
    • Department for Transport (UK)
They probably have more licenses but these are the ones I can remember. If I've missed any out, mention them below so I can add them to the list.

I don't want to talk about licenses, because this is more complex topic and we don't know many aspects included in licence agreement. So comparison to TSXX don't have to be generally right.

Licenses are a good hint as to what we can expect to see, as all of the TSW operators were already featured in TS18.

To me, license is just a final dot, just signed contract, that you are alloved to use logo...
Other hand is to find the right people inside the company to support DTG team, when they collect the material (photo, sound, video, etc...)

those that are friendly give licenses, so those franchises that have given DTG licenses are the friendly/good relationship franchises...all others assume have rejected DTG in the past.

good relationship = licenses - its not a difficult equation.

Some franchises have pulled out of giving licenses due to issues such as; people making derailment mods, suicide mods etc.

This should be most of them:
Grand Central, Scotrail, Virgin, Union Pacific, NJ Transit, SNCF, GWR, Chiltern, Freightliner, Transport for London, Amtrak, CN, Department for Transport, Canadian Pacific, Norfolk Southern. CSX, DB, Caltrain, Arriva, Cross Country, Gatwick Express, Rhb, EWS, Southeastern, ÖBB

NorthRail1 has some of the others that they likely have a license with.

    Also S-Bahn Mitteldeutschland is DB.

I feel this comment is far too underappreciated. Just because DTG has an agreement to use the logo does not mean that the companies will give DTG proper documentation on speed limits and other things. Things that are needed to accurate recreate the area.

I've got a cool print in the meeting room behind me that has most of the companies we work alongside on it, I'll try and grab a pic when the room is free :)

Let's try to reboot the question then; can DTG tell us which companies they are in contact with that are allowing them access to their locomotives and/or routes for on site research?

(I believe in the United Kingdom, DTG would need to talk to the Department of Transport or Network rail for access to speed limits and running lines unless they're working from cab ride videos.)

I thought that might be the case Jay, no worries.

You can still get that better picture for Matto though. :)

I find it funny that this poster has companies we have almost no DLC for (Grand Central is only the 180, IIRC, and that’s a pretty old one) but then BNSF, which has tons of DLC out there, is not on there. Guess that’s pretty telling on what DTG thinks of BNSF-not a ‘partnership’ if it can’t be sold everywhere, and it’s more of a partnership to have only one DLC available, so long as its availble everywhere, than it is to have more than 15 DLC that just aren’t availble everywhere (and 2 that are).

If you look at the exhibition picture further up in the thread you'll see this poster was created for a purpose. I believe it was the recent exhibition at Waverly? There was a train-simulator.com article about it but I guess that's disappeared.

Anyway, as they can't use the BNSF logo outside of the United States that's probably why they didn't put it on the poster, they're not allowed too.

As for Grand Central; maybe DTG have something planned.

... and many more ??? It seams that you need a bigger board or next one ;)

That layout is random or should we try to find some hidden algoritm to predict future DLC?
First line haven't been used, what could it be...

I'm looking at the poster like a menu ...

Hmm, yeah give me some UP with a side of CN and a dash of NS to top it off :)

    Dessert? Caltrain sounds nice!

What about the MTA? They obtained it for the NYNH route so I assume it can be used again for Metro North and Long Island Railroad when they decide to make more routes. Loved to see this logo on there,
