ACSES should make it easier amd more obvious to follow the speed limits, similar to Boston Sprinter. Unlike LIRR, where you have a track speed limit and an ATC speed limit showing different values, ACSES will do the extra work for you and show the real limit you need to follow.

IIRC, LIRR used to be Pennsylvania RR, whereas Harlem used to be New York Central, so the latter's signaling should be more like CSX's.

Spiderman is a spectacular piece of AAA game design with high production values, and was intended to be a showcase for the PS4, which it absolutely achieved; it's a must-have title on the platform and anyone with a PS4 who hasn't got it, should get it. Spiderman: Miles Morales has done a similar thing for the PS5, introducing perfect implementation of DualSense feedback and adding gorgeous, winter weather effects over the top of the already beautifully created cityscape.

By contrast, TSW2 is an often-clunky, niche train game, which – with possibly the ill-fated exception of Rush Hour – has never really traded on doing anything more than "enough". That the route ends in the wrong place and has no lavish Grand Central interior should be a surprise to no-one. It's the first US route in a while that has interested me, but I'll definitely be waiting for reviews and sale price.

    Cool!

I see though that Dovetail have made the neighboring Hudson Line for Train Simulator as well in the past, and that seems to be a much more "complete" package, with diesel passenger and freight locos? Obviously that would be more work since TSW doesn't have the P32 passenger loco, but that could have been made as DLC later? And I'm wondering which is more "scenic", Hudson or Harlem, since the Hudson seems to follow the river at least. And lastly, the Hudson is 60 miles long according to the store page. How much is the part of the Harlem line they've selected here?

Comparing these two, just feels like maybe Hudson, while more work, would have been the better choice in the long run? But maybe I'm wrong, I know nothing about either line, frankly.

Absolutely, the Hudson Line is arguably a lot more scenic, but of course that also means a lot more varied scenery. Though by doing the Harlem Line first (they share the same tracks while going into Manhattan), this means that much of the urban scenery could be ported over and reused, thereby alleviating much of the hard work. Thus, it's entirely likely we could see the Hudson Line at some point in the future, given if the Harlem Line is done well and is well received (even though we're effectively getting half of the actual route length)
Driving the P32's along the Hudson River would surely provide a unique and interesting experience compared to what we have in TSW right now.

I was also hoping for the Hudson Line as well, cause that is my favorite route, especially the Hudson river. Hopefully, we will see more American Passenger Routes this year, like the NJ Transit, Amtrak Acela, and More Metro North Route.

They better not forget the working fans that are installed above the ceiling at the grand central station train platform, which gives the feeling of being at the actual place, as you can see from this video as well as the new updated POS System in every track, which i believe its new, and recently added probably 2-3 years ago.

Good point, they have used the same terminus' in many routes they've released before. And I suppose it's not like there is a huge amount of US passenger rail to choose from (in the modern day at least), so I guess that raises the chances they'll revisit this area in the future.

By the way, I wonder when the first preview screenshots of the route will release? Supposedly it should be soon, right? I mean Horseshoe Curve already had a preview, the upcoming UK steam route also did, so the Harlem Line should be next, I assume.

Even if if they don't extend the route's length, I sure hope at least it will look good.

Same here I am hoping that they get everything right and realistic and on point, with the train, train sound, track sound, noises, ambient, environment, lighting, and especially the grand central station with real working PIS that is based on the real route where you see the MTA Logo and time, in a blue background, and the billboard that is current, and also the ceiling fan on every corner near the train tracks

TrainSim-Matt I don't know what year this taken but i think it might help the team a little. It's a picture of the layout of grand central terminal train track layout for the upper and lower part of the train layout on this site.

If you scroll down to the bottom you can see the picture of the track out for upper and lower levels for the train.

To be honest there really isn't much to be heard there, other than the horn and the rattling. You can't hear anything of the traction system from this video.
