Yeah numbering is definitely still borked sadly. I swear they mentioned it as fixed in the stream like you.
Door animations too fast, traction motors too quiet, pantograph selection incorrect. Also why no speed set? Its not like you cant do it we have AFB on some german units
You can't compare uk and German trains to each other. Just because their trains have it doesn't mean other trains will. The 801 doesn't have a speed set irl. Regarding sounds, dtg worked with a 801 driver who said the sound levels are accurate inside the cab. The units aren't loud and you don't hear much inside the cab.
The sounds are accurate, judging by the TSC AP Class 80x Enhancement Pack. Modern units just are quiet by design.
The motors are loud enough to be heard when standing next to the non motor coach. This is something that isnt in TSW
As said above they do have a speed set system in them in real life. Sounds from the cab are near enough there, but when outside flying about they are still not quite right but it is hard to judge those, though they are definitely better now the AI don't run around with the diesel power pack on!
The TSW one hasn't got it. Sorry, I should have made it clear initially I were talking about the real life trains!
Seems DTG has an annoying habit of not including speed sets on trains that have them in reality, starting with breaking the BML Class 377 in numerous ways including it’s ability to use speed set… and leaving it that way. *sigh*
That's a shame because it works on the East Coastway 377. The 387 in TSW doesn't have speed set either.
East coastway is set in 2009. BML is 2017-18. By then the 377s in real life had their speed sets disabled.
So DTG has time to remove minor things that actually make the game more fun, yet ignore glaring issues on BML like some stations or lineside locations having no fencing at all on platforms which back on to the track. I don't think anyone would call them out on the speedset still being there even if that isn't the case on the 377's today.
The 377 on BML and the one on ECW are two different versions of the same train which is probably why. BML is a wormhole of its own. Too fragile that they haven't risked going back to fix anything.
Yet that central European modder has created an entirely new timetable with all the trains that Joe put in as well as the ThamesLink 700s and the route still runs fine. Now MML is a great route and I enjoy running it, but with the new timetable BML is now in my top 3 for UK routes.
BML needs revisiting. But according to DTG, its impossible. It's too good of a route to leave in the past.
DRA doesn’t work, the Azuma will still take power and move when the DRA is set. Also at night time all the passenger are black and you can only see silhouette.
I’m pretty sure it’s on the right side monitor in real life as I heard it was moved to the central monitor in TSC for ease of use.
Enjoying the ECML in general, however there is a distinct lack of the Sugar factory north of Newark. This is a significant landmark on the route and one I hope they can model during a future update.
This may be of interest to readers of this thread. Today LNER has released a real time cab ride video from London King's Cross to Newark, with sound and a HUD showing (not always accurate) train speeds, as well as POIs. The second half of this video covers the route of this DLC, of course.
Nice to get a cab ride video from the operating company. Have always enjoyed the ones we get from drivers. Should also note, the recent Hull Trains video from Don Coffee cover this route including the section modeled.
Coach lettering is wrong. In TSW it does abc 123 coaches. But there are specific letters for each coach. I know it's a minor bug and there are bigger bugs you need to sort like the vigilance bug but it would be really great if you could rectify this. Also, the exterior P.I.S doesn't actually show up in game for some reason. It just scrolls every few seconds randomly. The final destination is supposed to be always visible with the calling points scrolling all the time. At the moment it all scrolls at once every 10 seconds in game.
I thought coaches were correct, pretty sure I’ve seen coach H in the game as i remember specifically looking for it, the 5 car is probably wrong as it’s not accurate to the real one it’s just made up of pieces from the 9 definitely agree about the DSD bug though, it’s annoying to use at the minute and PIS issues are unfortunately no surprise though., I usually now just expect PIS to be broken for all, more of a surprise to find it works
9 car formation is missing coach k at the very least. Only reason I noticed is cause I just booked an LNER journey down to York in first class and my seats reserved in coach k! Was trying to find my seat in game and then realised that they messed up the lettering for the coaches. No Biggie tho. But yes. DSD and P.I.S are major problems for me imo.
I done the same with coach H, as it is the quiet coach, i reserved for up to Edinburgh and back to Newcastle last year
There appears to be a bug where the doors won't close on the head end of the train behind the cabin if opened manually or individually. Can't then reclose. Notice though the indicator light to say doors not locked is on, yet the train can release brakes and move. If I were to do this on other doors the train would engage brakes. Is this already known? Sorry if duplicate, searching this forum - more specifically this thread, I can't seem to find an option to check. Edit: Ok, so there is an interactable for the door... Half way down the carriage. This is the crew only door, infront of 1st class catering. Presumably not controlled by interlocks.
Yea. That's the crew door. Manually controlled. Irl though I would've thought it works with interlock systems. Strange.
I believe that this is the worst LNER service available to complete. I must admit that I am disappointed with the game and it seems as if it has been a waste of my money so far. The graphics seem weaker than TSW3 and there is no variation. I am hoping that better routes will feature in the future of this game

I just wanted a better option. Considering that we purchase the game for a substantial amount of money, I expected better and something that would appeal to the majority of people.
There is only 5 stops. I do not want to start an argument and I understand your interest. It is not a full route even.
The route in itself is done very well, and the 801s are good enough quality units in game too, so although obviously there are improvements which could be made to make this route even better it is still a solid release on DTG's part. What do you mean? Intercity driving has been something that has constantly been requested since I have been on this forum, so there are a large amount of people that enjoy this type of driving. This route were also the most popular out of the TSW4 release routes. Just because you don't like this type of driving it doesn't mean the majority of people don't. Look at the wider picture not just you're little snippet.

I apologise. The meaning of what I was trying to say is that nobody asked for Peterborough to Doncaster because people wanted the full route.
Fair dos. There is no way on earth we were going to get the full ECML, I mean even in real life I don't sign the whole route. I do agree with Fawx that it were a shame not to have gone to York (and personally ending at Peterborough does feel strange) but at least we have got a good Intercity driving experience in game which were not present before this route came out.
I agree the full route would be best - but, from what I've heard, it was too long for DTG to do in one go. As I've mentioned in other threads, I would love to see the other sections released (in the same era) with 91s, voyagers etc. and some kind of merge type thing - even a prompt when you reach the end of the modelled zone to move you into the next bit - or a loading screen.
