Now that we are in the post-Spirit of Steam phase, my suggestion today is for DTG to finally add in the key missing section of the timetable for East Coastway (ECW) regarding London Victoria to Eastbourne and/or Ore services. Originating from the London Commuter route, the player would almost be able to drive the full route down to Eastbourne at least, minus the Keymer Junction branch (the 9-mile section between Wivelsfield and Lewes). These services can now take advantage of the attach and divide function. For example, in real life the front 4 cars terminate at Eastbourne, while the rear 4 reverses back and goes to Ore etc. This would bolster traffic on the route between Lewes’ platforms 1 and 2 and Eastbourne. While I fully support all the suggestions for merging ECW and BML, and the extension of ECW all the way to Hastings and Ore, I hope at least the suggestion of adding the missing services to the original ECW is more of a realistic starting point. Thoughts welcome. Class 377/149 departing Lewes in Summer 2021.
Hopefully when ECW gets the BML Class 377 improvements we'll see the /1 subclass allowing extra trains for these services. I rather they were added on top of the existing timetable and not done as another duplicate timetable as well, if possible.
Excellent Idea and remember some Ore services are combined with a Seaford section. An example is 1F96 17:43 London Victoria 18:35-18:40 Wivelsfield 18:55 Lewes where the rear 4 carriages 1F96 detach from the Front Section which is 2C96 18:55 Lewes 19:15 Seaford 8 carriages. Spoiler: 2C96 Rush Hour Run It's stuck at Lewes due to the fact it needs to follow a Class 313 service the 18:37 2C54 Brighton to Newhaven Marine local.
Ah yes, much agreed. I really hope ECW gets the BML 377 as it's very much needed, if just for more realistic sounds.
