    When you use Create mod, just put in the plugin name, don't click one of the big button options. They don't seem to work and cause that error, but there's no real need to select one. trainsimcz just to let you know the presets you can select in the Create Mod button throw the error emil#3734 has.

    From the start. I put everything in the main TSW2MOD folder, then hit generate and it gets stuck after 2 minutes. I then go to copy and it seems to work but idk what to do after that.

    Is the build suppose to fail? I'm seeing a uassest generate in the plugin folder but I still can't see it in game.

    I think you need to look in the documents in the editor sub forum and get yourself familiar with how to set up the editor and how it all works. You sound to be well off track

    I am well aware of how the editor works. I'm more concerned with how this tool is suppose to work.

    All thats been fixed with version 1.1. He is not using probably the latest version which is now 1.2. http://www.trainsim.cz/?mod=article&showid=2742

    This was fixed with version 1.1. You are probably using one of the first version. Right now, the latest version is 1.2 http://www.trainsim.cz/?mod=article&showid=2742 and it got that button fixed, already include required templates and plugin is created under Plugins folder. Just download that TSW4Editor-Cooking1.2.zip file.

    If you haven't, open the readme.first file in notepad as this will give you details on installation. However, I'll try to summarise here:

    1) Move any existing plugins you have made out of your TSW Editor folders (TrainSimWorld4MOD\TS2Prototype\Plugins) and remove any mods you've installed in the game from the DLC folder (Train Sim World 4\WindowsNoEditor\TS2Prototype\Content\DLC) of your game install
    2) Copy the files from the download to TrainSimWorld4MOD folder and allow it to overwrite.
    3) Run generate.bat and let it run. It will be done when it stops giving any text and says something about GC (I can't remember the exact line). Close the command prompt window.
    4) Run copy.bat
    5) Put your plugins you've made back into your plugins folder for the editor and you can re-add your mods back to your game DLC folder
    6) Run the editor with the starteditor.bat file, not through Epic Games Store
    7) You'll see a button in your toolbar that says Cook Mod. Run that.
    8) The cook may fail, but if you go into your plugin in File Explorer (TrainSimWorld4MOD\TS2Prototype\Plugins\NameOfPlugin), go into the Saved folder inside it and navigate through until you get to a folder called Plugins (e.g. TrainSimWorld4MOD\TS2Prototype\Plugins\NameOfPlugin\Saved\Cooked\WindowsNoEditor\TS2Prototype\Plugins) with content inside, it's cooked correctly. If it does not and just has Metadata folder, you'll need to look at the Output Log in the editor as it may need some empty plugins creating to make it think you have certain DLC if you don't own them. This is a bug with the editor that DTG will fix as part of them adding cooking officially.
    9) Run the TSW4EasyPaking.exe app to pack up your cooked plugin ready to put in your game's DLC folder.

    This is a run down on how it works, if you have issues when cooking, look at the Output Log to see where it's saved the log files and attach them to a post here.

    I am using that version.

    I have another error: "UATHelper: Cooking TestCookRoute (Windows): ERROR: Missing D:\Programme\TrainSimWorld4MOD\TS2Prototype\Binaries\Win64\TS2Prototype\Binaries\Win64\TrainSimWorldPublicEditor-Cmd.exe executable. Needs to be built first."
    Why does that happen?

    You need to launch the editor with the .bat file from the mod not the desktop icon. That solved it for me. If it’s still not working a reinstall should fix

    Check the Output Log. It will probably say you're missing files from plugins (DLC) that you don't have in the game. Just make those plugins and leave them empty and then it'll work.

    If you get issues naming them because you need to put a - (dash) in the name and normally followed by a number, make it without the dash, then close the editor. Go to the folder, rename it with the dash and then go inside the folder and edit the PluginName.uasset file in notepad, make sure you add the dash to the plugin name in that file. Save, open the editor, try again. Should then cook properly.

    Sorry correction, I just made a new timetable mod, and I keep getting this error in the output log:

    Ok I figured it out, I have to make my own plugin to do it. Now that it's cooked and I used the pak file, where do I put the file so it shows up in game?

    Yeah, so I put the pak file in the DLC folder and nothing is showing up. I've changed the train to see if it was the train, but it's not that either. The cook is going through successfully so I'm not sure what else to do.

    GerenicDiorama errors are to be expected. Please look at the end of the OutputLog when you try to cook. It'll tell you where the full log is. Find that and attach it to this thread. It'll be easier to find the error causing your issue by seeing the full log

    1) Go back to trainsimcz's website from the opening post, translate the website using Google and find the latest post about the cooking mod and download the zip that includes extra plugins.

    or

    2) Use my instructions above to create the following empty dummy plugins using the names below because the log shows it's trying to find plugins from DLC you don't have:

    What files do you have in your plugin. I can only see /CustomStuff/Timetable/ScheduleZ and /CustomStuff/ScheduleZ1. Did you simulate the timetable as you need DataTracks. Also you'll need a ContentManifest file. Finally what formations are you using in your timetable.

    I have a timetable and content manifest in there. what else do I need? The formations are regular ones that the main DLC uses.

    Have you simulated the timetable. In the editor in your timetable on the playback tab do you see something similar to below. If not you need simulate first by creating a bat file and paste the following,

    No. I have mine on my desktop but you could put it in the TrainSimWorld4MOD folder. I have mine named Editor.bat.

    It will stall for quite awhile (5-10 minutes) and could take hours to complete.

    Go to D:\Program Files\Epic Games\TrainSimWorld4MOD\TS2Prototype\Saved\Logs and open TS2Prototype.log. Search for "services completed". It should look like,

    TS2Editor: Of 368 total services...
    TS2Editor: 368 services completed
    TS2Editor: 0 services were still running
    TS2Editor: 0 services had not started
    TS2Editor: Saving Master data track

    Make sure all services complete otherwise the data track will not be created. If using layers, make sure there is no spaces in the layer name (ie. Layer 1 bad but Layer_1 good).

    Finally in Windows Explorer go to your Timetable folder and see if there is a DataTracks folder and files inside. If yes to all, then playback will work and you can cook the timetable.

    Just remember if you save your timetable, you have to re simulate it before cooking again.

    Yup I've tried all of that and even looked at the problem thread, it still does not show up. But neither do the rest of my plugins either.

    Well my only advice is to make sure the timetable simulates properly and the data tracks are created. Without that it won't work.

    Hi All,

    I have created a test timetable, the timetable has been simulated etc and appears to cook correctly using the in editor button however when I come to use the easy packing command the resulting .pak file is only 1kb and does not then load in the game (the obvious conclusion being there is little, if any, data in the .pak file).

    Has anyone had this issue before?.

    The cooking output log throws up a couple of errors including a few which appear to reference the SEH RHTT addon:

    also, what’s something simple I can cook that can show up in the menu so I can figure out if it’s a timetable problem or a cooking problem?

    Thanks CFTFC, that has removed the error relating to the SEH RHTT. Unfortunately I still only appear to be capable of creating a 1kb .pak file. I have tried a fresh install of the editor etc, reinstalling Muffs 1.2 latest cook version etc and creating a new test timetable plugin but I still only get the same 1.kb .pak file output.

    I did notice I still get a number of "Warning: Could not resolve package" errors in the log file relating to "Niagra", "Generic Diorama" and "Engine". Could these be the issue?. Log file is here - https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/7e7o...type.log?rlkey=pnw3kvlarmkkxgylebm68yam2&dl=0

    My editor has stopped cooking files, in the output log it keeps saying:

    UATHelper: Cooking Test (Windows): LogCook: Error: Engine or Game content ../../../TS2Prototype/Plugins/Blank_Test_Mod/Content/ContentManifest.uasset is being referenced by DLC!

    and so on, does anyone know what is wrong? I have:
    • made sure there are no mods in TSW4 DLC folder
    • reinstalled editor and reapplied cooking patch
    • verified the Steam Train Sim World 4 installation
    My plugins were working a few hours ago but now despite not making any changes to them the editor won't cook anything any more

    Cut your plugin out of the folder it lives in and dump it elsewhere, run the generate.bat again. Once it's saved the AssetRegistry, run the copy.bat and then paste the plugin back into the plugin folder. Try again and it should work.

    As per the readme.first, you also have to remove your plugins out of your editor so it's back to the fresh installed state before generating your AssetRegistry.

    If you had removed your plugin when you generated your asset registry, I can only think of suggesting you re-create your content manifest.

    Those could not resolve warnings are normal. I don't see anything wrong with the log.

    In Windows Explorer can you go to your plugin IOWTest. In the folder you should have 3 folders (Content, Resources, Saved). Open Saved, then Cooked - WindowsNoEditor - TS2Prototype - Plugins - IOWTest - Content. Do see something like below,
