PC Epic Games Losing Most Dlc [update: Not Anymore]

How about next time, instead of releasing a new game that causes problems like this every single year, we fix the existing game?

 

Knowing DTG... keeping the same game without releasing new editions every year is unlikely or never going to happen... as much as I hate saying that, I wish that were the case too that they stick with the same game and continue to fix the everlasting problems, especially if new editions cause problems like these. At least they should keep this fix for Epic Games going forward so that it never happens again.

But who knows, maybe they'll reconsider their business model knowing the fiasco that happened with Epic this year. We'll just have to wait and see, I suppose.

It could also be an Epic problem as well, but we don't have full confirmation of whose fault it is, but what matters is that something like this doesn't happen again, that's all I'm hoping for.

Indeed, just hoping that I don't have to contact support again if DLC is not showing up in game and is installed and/or fails to install... hopefully everything works once it releases.

 

And finally, we get a confirmed date of release on the FAQ. It will be 4th November at 4 PM GMT for all remaining add-ons to release.

 

just saw that while responding to a semi related discussion on the discord. Glad this is finally going to be over, cant wait to do it again next year /s (hopefully)

 

They knew that the backlash this year and potential loss of Epic customers as a result of this fiasco had it kept going would result in huge PR and financial losses, so I'm sure they're well aware of what will happen if something like this happens again, especially money wise, nonetheless if it was theirs or Epic's fault. Let's hope that what happened was a big wake up call for them to do better.

Yep, they're out now.

And make sure that if any of you guys Epic players are not seeing any show up, report it to Dovetail support as soon as you can, as I will check that and report anything missing as well. Enjoy the add-ons and let's hope this never happens again.

Too bad the Expert 101 Gameplay Pack is still missing though; I hope one day that can be released still. :P

Update: Wow, I'm surprised. They actually managed to get everything in the game without problems, I see all of them show up without any issues. First time that's ever happened. Pleasantly surprised, that makes me happy.

Guess that's it for this thread since everything shows up for me now... it was great talking with everyone and raising awareness. Now let's just hope this doesn't happen again.

 

I just checked mine and there appears to be a little glitch in the number of DLCs it says I have. I should have 45 but it is showing 44. I've found it is Kassel-Wurzburg that is not showing in my "Manage Add-Ons" list, though it is installed and appears in game. When I select that DLC in the store it says "In Library".

I think Spirit of Steam was doing the same thing until a couple of days ago, I'm sure they'll iron it out eventually.

Still, good to have all the DLC in TSW6.

You know, all this talk recently about ue5 and potentially a new train sim and having to start a fresh dlc wise makes me wonder if this was some sort of test to see how people would react to dlcs not carrying over.

Needless to say, I don't imaging the (justified) outrage here was what they were hoping for...
