Hi DTG Team and community,As Train Sim World progresses into the modern era, our safety systems should too. While we have excellent simulations of PZB, LZB, and KVB, the game is severely missing a core implementation of ETCS Level 2 (European Train Control System).Instead of just adding it as a one-off feature for a single route, DTG should develop a standardized, robust ETCS signaling framework within the core engine of TSW. Why developing ETCS is a crucial investment for DTG:Future-Proofing Modern Routes: More and more European lines are switching completely to digital cab-signaling without physical trackside signals. Having a working ETCS framework opens the door for spectacular modern routes in Germany (like the new Wendlingen–Ulm high-speed line), Switzerland, Austria, and Italy.Unique Gameplay Experience: Driving purely by looking at the DMI (Driver-Machine Interface) display inside the cab, following precise digital braking curves, creates an entirely new, highly focused, and immersive simulation feel.Massive Community Demand: Hardcore simulation fans have been asking for proper ETCS behavior for years. Introducing it would showcase TSW as a true next-gen railway simulator.Developing a proper ETCS dispatcher and core logic would be a massive milestone for the franchise. It’s an investment that pays off for years to come with every new modern European DLC released. What are your thoughts on bringing ETCS into the core game?
