Expert Db Br 145 Discussion

Timetables need to be changed for the 145 to substitute on S-bahn services (they mostly use the older logic of allowing players to select equivalent locomotives from different base routes rather than substitution). On Leipzig-Dresden the Nahverkehrspaket BR 145 substitutes on S-bahn services, but not on other routes. I have plans to change this on other Expert timetables (that come with the BR 101 Expert) but I can't say when this will happen.

 

In most cases that would be a) frustrating, because the 145 tops out at [110>] 140 km/h, and b) unrealistic, since the 145 was a freight engine, owned by DB Cargo, and only occasionally leased to DB Regio (or even Fernverkehr) in semi-emergency situations.

 

Maybe you are mistaking this with another locomotive (like the BR 140?). The BR 145 is allowed to travel at 140 km/h
You are mostly correct about the other parts though. The BR 145 is mainly a freight locomotive (but some private operators use it for passenger services like TRI and PRESS, incidentally on the Frankenbahn ).

 

Sounds like an idea for a gameplay pack
