PC Fife Enhancement Pack And Fawx's 2024 Tt - Out Now

I’ve noticed that even with this mod, about 700yds from the next station coming up, I still get the announcement playing (though at a low volume) about the ‘the next station is xxxx, please make sure you take all your belongings with you…’. I don't hear any other announcements on board when at a station or just after leaving for instance though.

 

You will get announcements only on the default timetable. You definitely won’t get them on Fawx’s 2024 TT, which is a must have (and use) for this EP to work correctly. If you use the default Rivet timetable virtually everything in the mod won’t be visible.

Sadly we have add-on manager to thank for that.

Something has changed. We don’t know what, and I can’t tell you the hassle bescot went through to get the new scenery showing even just on the new timetable, but you are correct in saying that the EP is showing on the default timetable. I can only assume something changed in the recent round of patches but either way, it is now working on both timetables.

Obviously I would very strongly recommend you use Fawx timetable as it is far more comprehensive and varied. You would also have access to the 800 and HST as well as the E2G route too.

Fingers crossed that it'll still work after Rivet releases their patch. Also, on a side note. Do you guys have any plans to include freight in the timetable?

 

Yeah cross everything! From the really poor resolution (why??) screenshots they posted it looks to me like they just changed the shaders to match those like the vegetation EP rather than add new foliage. It's looks patchy, although the draw distance appears to have increased. Bit of a lazy way to improve the grasses, but there you go.

Fawx would have to comment on freight. There are paths available for RHTT but as the timetable is set 2024 there is no freight in real life. All the coal trains stopped a few years ago.

 

v1.1 Update 14 May 2024. Following Rivets patch the following compatibility changes have been made, plus some other changes:

• Removal of temporary level crossing as Rivet added a working version
• Removal of Aircraft as Rivet added their own version (sorry we've lost the EasyJet version)
• Fixed up airport runway 24 as Rivet made changes which broke the markings
• Improved textures on I7C powercars
• Added grass to tile north of Queensferry
• Added Transpennine class 802 for future proofing
• Removed THE TREE growing over the track (why they didnt do that? Beyond belief)

That was the only one that didn't overlap the ones Rivet placed! They all seem to be in exactly the same spots as the A250s we put there originally. It's funny that

Do you guys reckon you can reskin the planes and improve the airport? The dodgy looking British airlines livery looks a bit pants. Also the plane models look a bit dodgy!

• Noticed that Rivet had nerfed the internal running sound on the class 170. Running sounds replaced and mixes adjusted
• Removed brake block rubbing sounds. Class 170s have disc brakes.
• Fixed Forth road bridge navigation lighting
• Removed a Rivet floating ball of grass from tunnel entrance at N. Queensferry
• Swapped the aircraft in default tiles to use London Brighton one (install the BML EP to get Easy A250s). May not load in default TT

If you want the Easy a250s just install the BML EP to gain the replacement aircraft. (Don't look to close as the ground is lower than the wheels.)

The official editor to add scenery and change sounds, a bit of hex editing to remove stuff from default scenery tiles!

My 170 has disappeared in fawks timetable!

It’s ok pal sorted it. It was a timetable mod for koln-achen that made it disappear. A little heads up there!

 

We think add-on mangler(tm) is causing the 170 to vanish from the game menu screen 2024 timetable at times when players have various, none related and random other mods installed. Really can't be sure of the cause at the moment. For me, the BCC EP caused this problem for a while. I tested the EP with no other mods its fine.

it is possible to have correct speed limit in HUD for Class 170, currently the speed limit is set for HST.

 

That’s the correct speed limit but couldn’t be changed if it wasn’t.

 

170 uses the HST speed limit in real life. It's used by all trains that have fast enough braking power. It applies to the 158s, 170s, the voyagers and the IETs. Most passenger trains made after the HST basically that have disc brakes.

 

Mind blowing how quickly you guys knock these improvements out compared to the supposed “professionals” unreal, makes me regret not getting a pc.

 

Today I learned!

 

With this sale and Fife being at 30% off went ahead and loaded it. Have installed both the 2024 tt and bescot's pak files. Now this is what I am seeing with both the original and 2024 tt. Note the the HuD is in focus. I did not install bescot's original mods but did look in installed dlc to make sure. Also, am not seeing this in any other route, just Fife.

I have continued my trouble shooting. Removed all files bescot's ep as well as fwax's new tt. No change in the screen image. So, as noted by JetWash, it's not them.

Guess I should add, since I ask posters myself, I am on pc through Steam.

I’m getting an OOM with the Fife Circle Enhancement Part - 1. I’ve tried every fix available on internet so far. But nothing matters as of now and the problem persists. Is there a fix you guys have figured? Part - 2 loads without any problem

 

As I continue to trouble shoot this issue, I have removed everyone of the mods I had installed to a hold folder. Started up Fife Circle and the issue is gone. So, it is mod related. Now to start loading them back in to see which one it is. I will start by moving the Fife specific one first. Since I was not experiencing this before loading the Fife mod, my thoughts are a conflict between them and some other mod.
Adding the Fife mods back did not cause the issue.
Wow, it is GodMode. Now have to make sure I have the latest one installed. Checked and I have 0-5-8 installed so that is the latest.
I have moved all my other installed mods back to the active dlc folder and no issues noted with the image. Man, I am going to miss what GodMode would have provided in Fife.

 

If you have visual problems or out of memory errors I'd suggest checking engine.ini or the god mode save file. Start with a clean ini (remove engine.ini and god mode sav file) and take it from there.

 

Fortunately I have most old versions of God mode saved. But unfortunately nothing worked even deleting Godmode save and engine.ini

 

Removing GodMode Mod itself doesn’t solve it too for me.

 

Thanks bescot, I will give that a try later today. I have never modified my engine,ini but will delete it and let the game install a new one. Also will remove and reinstall the save file for GodMode.

 

Other than that, I really wouldn't know what to suggest. Everything worked perfectly until Rivet updated Fife, but since then a minority have a problem with the timetable or EP when combined with other random mods. There is no way the mod would cause an out of memory crash on its own, its been tested on everything from a 1050 to a 4080 by the team.

 

Well, in my case of the corrupt image, it's the ultra version of the GodMode.sav. When I installed the high version everything is ok.

JetWash, have an NVidia 3070. I have a new pc on order that will have the latest 4090.

 

Just a question regarding the requirements for this mod: is GWE absolutely necessary for it to work at all, or is it only needed if I want to drive the HST? I ask because I'd previously bought GWE and quickly refunded it on Steam, since I found it dreadfully boring to drive. (Not as bad as Kassel-Wurzburg, mind you, but nothing could really match that.) Even with the current sale going, I'd really rather save my money and not buy GWE again if possible.
