Does anyone know why Reigate services there's double yellow and yellow flashing aspects approaching Redhill from Merstham?

The track goes into the normal down platform at Redhill, the usual booked platform, and even when trains go into platform 1 at Preston park (up platform) there's no flashing yellows

Just wondering what's so special about this approach at Redhill that requires flashing yellow aspects

Iirc it's normally the speed difference, or if there's been a number of speed-related incidents. Must sdmit, I've not played BML foer a long time.

Either that or DTG have mucked up.
Sorry forgot I'm apparently a DTG stan or something.

I thought maybe the speed difference but on the same service you come out of east Croydon fast and there's no indicator at all - not even an AWS - that the approach to South Croydon has a 20 mph turnoff after it.

But I'm not complaining. In my opinion the Reigate services are fantastic. Lots of yellows from Vic to east Croydon and then the yellows at Redhill. Better than most of the bml services.

Flashing yellows are used to warn of reduced speed ahead, does the track speed limit change just after the station? If not it might be that the points are set to a different direction ahead until you stop (a game issue).

If I remember correctly the line speed is 70/80 on that section of track and it drops to 25/15 to go into the platforms at Redhill. So it's just warning you that line you're moving over onto has a much lower speed limit and to slow down beforehand.
