Foliage Draw Distance

Hello DTG, is there a way to increase the draw distance as it relates to foliage spawning as the train travels, I find it very jarring visually to see plants appearing and then disappearing as the train travels.

Go to My Documents - My Games - TS2 Prototype - Saved - Config - WindowsNoEditor - Engine and in there type [/script/engine.renderersettings] and below that type r.ViewDistanceScale=32 then save

 

1. It will not have any significant impact on foliage, just on tracks
2. It will murder your framerate at times, I'd start at 3 and tested what's best for your system and your eyes.

 

Yes a possibility to increase the view distance of the grass and foliage would be nice.

 

And putting that up to 32 is absolute insanity. I cannot even comprehend why the heck you would ever need to see stuff from 32 times the distance you can see it now. Maybe 5 times, but not anything more than 10 makes sense.

 

I have it at 32 too, runs fine with 4K resolution and looks awesome

 

well i love it at 32 at least you see the trains in the distance instead of them popping out of nowhere.

 

this distance (a bit less is maybe OK) is necesary to see the Hell Gate bridge from NEC from far away, otherwise it will pop-up when climbing.
