Found the following on youtube and been playing about with the game over the weekend. A few good bits, a few annoying bits, but overall a fun diversion and a change from driving SEHS back and forth...

Very very early alpha test release, but hey it's free!
Unfortunately only available to PC players

I found RailRoute to be quite fun, the only set back is that I wish it was Multiplayer. Me and my friend first found the game because we were so utterly confused SimSig: https://www.simsig.co.uk/

SimSig is multiplayer (although requires a bit of techno knowhow to get into a game), but it is very accurate to how the UK signaling system is operated

RailRoute is nice, but especially the new versions tend more towards a game than a simulator.

Bit of a bump here I see, but as regards SimSig, it absolutely does not have to be operated in MP. I have always run in single player mode. The more complex simulations such as Didcot/Swindon, Carlisle or the NSW Main South (Moss Vale) absolutely have to be run in real time too, especially if you ramp up disruption factors!
