Viele Grüße ------------------------------------------------------ Hello everybody, Currently, you select a route, then the vehicle—possibly a "Creators Club" variant—and then the timetable. This means the vehicles are firmly tied to the timetables. While various layers do allow you to choose models like the 111, 112, 114, 146, etc., and run the same timetable with them, you couldn't—for instance—take an ICE and run an S-Bahn timetable with it (if that’s something you’d want to do). So, my proposal is as follows: You select a route and pick a specific timetable service, then choose between "Official" (the vehicle intended for that specific service) and "Train Selection" (a list of vehicles or train configurations, similar to spawning in Free Roam). This could allow you, for instance, to select an ICE service on the Kinzigtalbahn but swap the game-mandated ICE T for an ICE 3 or the new ICE 4, running the chosen schedule with that train instead. Or you could use a Class 442, an IC service, a Class 110 with n-Wagen coaches, and so on. The same applies to freight runs: you select a service but decide to haul it with a Class 145 and truck trailers instead of the Vectron required by the game (as seen on the Nuremberg-Würzburg route). Or, on the "Left Rhine Line," you might choose a Vectron with a freight train instead of the Class 110; or a Class 440 or Class 146 with double-decker coaches instead of the Class 110 with n-Wagen... I hope you can follow my thoughts—but what are the pros and cons of this? It combines the best of Freeroam and Timetable modes: total freedom of play (like in the current Freeroam), yet with predefined routes, timings, and stops (like in the current Timetable mode). It also allows flexibility when introducing new vehicle DLCs, as there is no longer a need to create an entirely new timetable for specific new vehicles. However, implementation could be tricky for the following reasons: - Changes in top speeds would lead to delays (though the game should be able to handle that). - Freight trains likely couldn't run on passenger timetables because they (naturally) cannot open their doors, meaning the schedule couldn't be completed. What do you think of the idea? Greetings
