Steam Freezing And Crashing

Sometimes when I am driving a train in the game (on any route) the game might completely freeze at a random point and stop responding, and I have to close the game and reopen it for it to fix itself, no idea why this has been happening, not sure whether its an issue with my PC or a game issue, this happens like 50% of the time so I am hoping to be able to fix it
