Dear DTG Team,To elevate the realism of German routes in Train Sim World across all platforms, I suggest implementing a fully functional, auto-scrolling Ebula (electronic timetable) for German cabs. Currently, Ebula screens in TSW are mostly static or blank. A dynamic version would be a game-changer: True HUD-Free Driving: A working Ebula shows speed limits, station times, and kilometer posts, allowing players to turn off the game's HUD completely and rely solely on cab instruments—just like real DB drivers. Smart Features: The system should automatically scroll based on the train's location (simulating the train radio/GPS tracking) and feature a live delay indicator (+/- minutes) based on the timetable. Technical Feasibility: TSW has already proven it can handle dynamic in-cab screens on PC and consoles, as seen with the animated Passenger Information System (FIS) in the ICE 4. Using that same logic to feed timetable data onto the Ebula screen is highly achievable. Adding this feature would massively increase the simulation depth for hardcore fans and real-life trainees alike. Thank you for considering this!
Functioning EBuLa has been a huge request the community has been vocal about as long as I have been in the TSW "scene" (which is basically since TSW 2) In one of the recent Q&A streams, can't remember which one tho, Matt has touched on the topic and said that he would love to try his hand on a working EBuLa at some point in the future, but currently it's not on the table.
Ebula and equivalent inactive display fillers for other countries would be a game changer... the more I think of it, I believe DTG or a third party developer could develop a fictional safety system enforcement that would give you all information you need on train displays (especially for US diesel routes)
