So what you think is more the case of the route which is not happening. Unfortunately its already on youtube, but its more about the opinions on the distance. Would the logical endpoint be rugby or milton keynes central?
The only way to be 100% safe would be to draw up a contractual agreement with the beta testers along the lines of yes, they get early access to new routes and locos, but if they break the accompanying NDA then they will suffer a financial punishment. I bet that will see the end of unauthorised leaks by design
If it starts at Euston I can only see them going to MKC. If it starts at Watford Junction then Rugby, with or without Northampton. All hypothetical of course!
It can’t start at Watford Jct. because then they’d kybosh the chance of driving the 710 from Euston to that station, also the 350 (if indeed that route ever happens). Otherwise we’d end up with the daft situation that came with ECML with 700’s only briefly appearing at Peterborough and not on the route, surely they won’t make that mistake again? There was major criticism on here and rightly so. It would make it far less attractive to me if they missed out another London terminus.
Like I said, all hypothetical and believe me along with everyone else if DTG are doing the Premier Line at a minimum it needs to be Euston to Rugby.
I think the leaks tell us the full picture. Euston and MKC are all-but confirmed. Watford Jcn is a nonsense end-point. It would be like ending GCC at Pollokshields E/W or BKL at Paddington
Im very much hoping for rugby, which would be necessary for a solid experience. Else the route ends up like GWE, too short to have fun with the not confirmed claps E90.
Watford Junction to Rugby would be awful and pointless. I would not be thrilled at Euston to Milton Keynes but at least there are complete services on that stretch of line.
