Xbox One Games With Snow Revert Back To Rain When Resumed

When resuming a saved game; if you had snow, it will revert back to rain. I haven't found a work around either. It's really annoying having to spend an hour+ building a consist if you want snow. I have a "The Long Dark train" that I'd like to keep in the snow without having to build it every time

 

Use mod.

 

Can't do that on xbox besides, why tf do I need a mod for a basic game feature? It's ridiculous
