Likewise paying for a livery that you can get free in creators club insulting imo

 

Not against it if it actually existed, but as of yet GBR livery doesn't exist on any units apart from a few banners saying 'coming soon'...

Maybe it would of been better to hold off until the first units are given the GBR treatment. Not for me, or not atleast until one actually exists in real life.

 

As I just said in the other thread, this is a blatant cash grab with a reskin of one of the most boring trains in the game. Should have been free as a thank you for the tech and content fixing debt we the paying customers are having to endure.

Or you should have engaged with what the player base actually wants which is an IC225 set (Class 91 etc.) or a Deltic to run on the ECML. Or is there now no one in house at DTG with the ability to create an all new loco or train set? It would have sold like hot cakes.

 

I dont think anyone on here asked for this reskin on this train. I reckon there is kind of deal they have with the government. We will pay you to make this in your game. Thats my thoughts please dont take it to seriously.

Couldnt agree more its frustrating having reskins of the same loco constantly why not something new like the 730 for BCC

If it was a TPE reskin of the 802 adding in a few shot hops for the MAC DLC I would happily pay but for this which has no significance, pass!

They talk about not doing certain locos etc because of Gameplay value, what does this add to ones gameplay?

 

What timetables is this supposed to run on if all timetables are set in the past, not the future?
There are so many existing train operator liveries in the UK that would fit ECML, WCML, MML and other timetables. This one, unfortunately, does not.

 

I think UK players are looking at this dlc in a certain, rather hostile, way, maybe because of the livery.

To the rest of us it's just a typically colorful British repaint and for $6, might be worth it, especially as it comes with new scenarios.

 

In all honesty: wrong. Creators Club livery are never assured to be shaped correctly, and the rendered livery in-game is always at a weird-ish low resolution that's weird to look at in many cases. As for DLCs or even just mods, the possiblities are unlimited: thanks to model/texture mapping, decals and other means, it is possible to make it sharp-edged, and the possible use of the real logos and fonts also makes it more appropriate.

Along with that, the interior can also be modified, whereas any in-game tools can not do that.

Don't see it as a cash grab. If you're stupid enough to buy something you don't want that's ridiculous.

I definitely do not want it personally, it's a horrible livery that I don't want to see tainting the Riviera Line. No cash will be grabbed.

 

I understand that part of paying for it is the services and scenarios. Is there a way they could've maybe pushed the boat out a little bit more on the scenarios and mix it up a little bit, give us something new to really sell it? Use the scenarios to push the boat out with more dioramas and interactions with NPCs etc?

I like the livery but there is just no content value for most people. A couple of services and scenarios isn't good enough really. Hopefully there are plans to include it in future timetables.

 

There were releases like this before. Why does the fuss seem bigger now? Don't really get it...

Yeah i like it to! I don't no why people talking about "cash grab".... It's not for everyone i understand that very well but its not a cash grab due to the fact you don't like it. That's a fundamental difference. The price is very low... What would you buy now days for such a low price?! And people they compare it with a CC livery.... That's not a valid point if you asking me!! The CC is missing so much details for skins.

 

I won't. But the development time for that livery might have been used to produce a more mass-compatible and/or more desired livery. In an ideal world. That is the point.

 

Generally its an advertising for the upcoming change to a UK wide national rail system. This is with a license and I can fully understand that this will kost a few pounds. The thing with everything for free i don't get that. If it was for free the same people complaining about something they complaining always so what you build for this game this will never changed. It's the way how the gaming world is you have to stop listening to that as content creators otherwise you will stop very quickly to create content. It's very thin line when it's supportive or being rude....

 

I will probably get it, for that price it's cheaper than a pint and I will still have it to use for quite a while.

Looks like it's more of a scenario pack.

 

Watch train simulator driver. He is honest about what the releases entail and critical (in a good, decent way) about the quality. And British Ace. Also pretty honest, and he streams most of his stuff on PS (except previews, on PC)
