It's still part of the simulation. Just because there are times when passengers aren't on then doesn't mean it isn't part of the simulation.

The 710s are actually good looking trains, the GA Aventras look ugly but this ain't too bad (anyone else like the bright orange or is it just me).

I like them i think what makes the orange stick out more like you are saying you like is because train companies now no longer need to have yellow fronts thanks to LED lights taking that requirement away. What looks better in my opinion is the new C2C 720s which are more or less the same subclass as the 710 now those look just stunning

There’s something about them that makes them look more like a tram than a train & old but modern at the same time, asif they were designed in the early 2000’s.

Yep, whenever I see all these modern DMU/EMU units, I just think 'Tram' and not 'Train'.

Thank god for heritage lines and preservation, if I was a kid now, railways would not interest me in the slightest

I think part of that has to do with the relative similarity of the Aventra design to the Electrostar and Turbostars designs that preceded them. The cabs of most Aventras remind me of the Turbostars and Electrostars with the streamlined gangway-less cabs, while the Aventra variants with gangways look a bit more unique to me.

Aventras have gangways??? I know its a requirement for trains that run in tunnels (345) but I cant see where it would be

Edit: I forgot the 730 is infact an aventra

Not bad though I do feel yellow on the front would in some way would look much better.

The similar looking 720s at C2C and GA look much better.

I hope there is a passenger view this time, like the ones in the original TSW on GWE where you could still drive the train but from a passenger seat. More to see the views for a few seconds on a section in between stations

The addition of the Class 104 to Peak Forest throws up implications for the GOBLIN line. Though there's no mention in Wikipedia but between 1984 and 1992 four London Midland Class 104s provided the traction for the Goblin Line, most of them ending-up in Network South East livery prior to their replacement with Class 117s before the service went over to Class 150/1s at the end of the nineties. Something that could be made into a Heritage Pack perhaps.

Despite the line running within the Eastern Region for all but the last mile it was a London Midland Region service prior to Network South East, hence it being part of the Silverlink franchise.

Formerly known as "The Tottenham Joint Lines" the GOBLIN was a link between LMS's territory NW of London and its outpost, the London Tilbury & Southend Railway (now "C2C"). The line has a rich history that I'd love to write a book about one day.

L7xx based at Old Oak Common, being the only heritage DMU depot left in the London area. During my stint on the Relief when I first entered the Control in 1989, found myself on the NSE Desk from time to time and had the pleasure of allocating these out. Very occasionally ended up on the Greenford or Windsor branch too if we were short of sets but generally ring fenced for the Goblin, ECS out in the morning and back in the evening.

Is it just me, or does the 710 look fatter than in reality? (Screenshot from stream)

Same, I’d like to hope there’s more to TFL content to come, would be a waste not to make use of the license while they have it.

Very much so, it would be nice to put in a 378 connecting Gospel Oak to Richmond. Or do the East London Line.

Concidering dtg were heavy on promoting this line being FULLY licensed. I wonder if we'll get the real life working announcements with this route. :)

A license only covers the branding. We also have not had confirmation it will have ANY announcements.

Wondering how they've packed out the timetable on this one because Matt said there was a lot of variation or something similar?

By that do they mean the occasional 66 service, RHTT, Railtours? Is there a lot of potential for layers with current content?

Not really it’s a 15 minute service with a run time of 45 minutes end to end

And there is a difference between speculation and fact. Much the same as the difference between licenses you don’t know about.

Where is the "fact"? It's not like anyone's said there will be announcements. They're hoping there will be.
Well, I do know that licenses can cover everything or a part of something.

Would be a missed opportunity if there aren't announcements, JT and Rivet have proven its possible.

Not a deal breakers, but would help increase immersion.

No railtours, it's a VERY busy passenger line with some freight as well, trains every few minutes, no gaps in traffic for railtours. I think he was referring to passing under or over other lines such as the ECML, so at least we'll see the odd Azuma.

Steam railtours have been confirmed by the timetable builder (Liam) on Discord. The 710 passenger service is every 15 minutes each way, all stops, no variety in the service pattern. Lots of freight, most densely in the early morning.

Also Liam mentioned that all ECML traffic that we have stock for is included on the flyover.

The question is.... licenses are in nearly all routes for the trains and the company thats involved for the route Like ÖBB or DB and DTG is never mentioned so direct by a route (licenses Text)... So for me that could be a hint for announcements.... TFL is not the railway company but the holder off the route network of London

Well I hope this TFL license is the start of something big for London Overground and Underground. Both service providers really need expanding. I’m thinking new rolling stock in the Class 378 for Overground and also the Class 345 branded TFL. I would also encourage Just Trains to bring their excellent Metropolitan Line to TSW4.

There are lots of gaps in the route I would hardly say a train every few minutes. The overground is every 15 with freight trains at random times. NOT every few minutes.

Branding is nothing to do with announcements.

anyway like I said before there is NO OFFICIAL confirmation we will have any announcements so I shall await to hear it from DTG first hand. Have a lovely day.

OK every 15 minutes then, with freight in between, that's probably every few minutes! Whose splitting hairs?

Every 15 minutes doesn't leave a lot of time in between in all fairness. Why would a railtour want to go from Gospel Oak to a dead end at Barking Riverside through urban London for 45 minutes? Seems a strange choice to me. It will have to reverse back out too! Would cause carnage and mayor of London would have a fit.

Because IRL it does not go to a dead end it can carry on towards Willesden Junction going west and can carry on towards grays/shrewburyness etc going east from barking Going by your logic above why would freight want to go to a dead end then

Reading the latest posts does make me wonder where all of the variation is coming from in the timetable that Matt alluded to? Unless theres something somewhere we're missing that dtg have tried to work in?

Confirmed full ECML timetable is included as AI.

Rosenheim planned to come before Goblin Line according to Alex
