Have been playing GWE again in preparation for the update. Looking forward to the update.

 

If this already been asked sorry is the timetable getting a refresh and do we have a release date yet thanks

Tomorrow we get a new roadmap. Hopefully with some news.

 

I really wouldn't hold your breath. It just feels like everything has come to a standstill and each month just rolls in to another with no new content. Someone suggested everything we have on the roadmap now will be it until TSW6.

 

Oh the things that are planned for the 0-3 months will come out way before then. Got to keep the cashflow up.

In the TBA column, it's anybody's guess, also for this remaster.....

 

The only things left for the 0-3 months timeline are Mildmay, Cargo Line 3 and the F59 for Metrolink. Everything else is up in the air and becoming more so as the days and weeks go by.

Some things have been on the Roadmap since dinosaurs walked the Earth.

Absolutely true, the pace at which DLCs are released is just as high as in previous years. Facts

 

The trouble with forums, this one in particular is that someone makes a claim, often without any evidence and then it becomes fact.

And when it doesn't, the same posters don't come back and say, oh I was wrong.

I have loads of services to do in TSW 5 (and scenarios) and will bide my time to try and do those or play Sniper Elite Resitance, COD, Farm Sim.

Will there be more freight services utilising the various sidings and industries along the route?

 

When the GWE HST livery designer came out, it used to be possible to select a lone power car livery in timetable mode. The train would then spawn in game with the custom livery on the front power car. The rest of the train, including the rear power car, would remain in GWR livery. Sadly, this disappeared when the HST was added to formation designer. Would it be possible for this to reimplemented?

 

I've just thought of something that could be quite cool to include in the remaster. I don't know if anyone remembers the parliamentary Chiltern service which ran first between Paddington and West Ruislip but was then cut down to West Ealing - West Ruislip. Seeing as the 166 showed up in a different livery on the North London Line, it might be quite cool if there is one service using the livery that could be drivable from Paddington to West Ealing. Anyway I'm still really looking forward to remaster as I haven't played GWE in a while.

 

Yep I remember it, I did it once. I was the only passenger on the train.

 

Will the Zfighting in the hst cab finally be fixed, on xbox?

It won't, just hst, 66 and 166

It's set in 2015 so 8xx type EMUs wouldn't exist on the route during that time period.

It's looking to be an absolute cracker... Definitely may steal the show for content released this year.

 

Will a loco and carriage be used to represent the Sleeper train?

 

The new timetable is set circa 2017 I believe. Still out of scope for an 802 though.

 

I wonder if the scenery be extended a bit so we are not able to see the end of the map when using outside camera and looking just above train

 

I love the time and detail you're putting into this remaster Liam! The touch with the 47 on the mk3s for the sleeper sounds amazing as well!

No we won’t, due to the time it’s set in electrification will stay the same, until Hayes n Harrington i believe

 

Assuming you already own GWE its a Free update they have also add Royal Oak (Station ) & Westbourne Grove ( Station ) as 2 new playable area. They also adding route hopping at Paddington so you can route hop between Paddington GWE & Paddington Bakerloo the Update is also being applied to Diesel Legends of the Great Western ( As Mentioned in there Season of reveals December 2024)

 

I would like to ask you a Question if & i expect you have been in un-dated with this Question how much more work do you have to do on GWE Re-Mastered before its released ?

What I said to myself upon realizing that fact during my first run in the 165.

I've been in love with UK routes ever since.

 

Just want to say how hyped i am for this route to be remastered. One of the very few in the game I've personally ridden on (only the part from Heathrow and it's been 25 years, but still lol).

I remember when it first came out i played it so so much but it's been a long time now. Looking forward to experiencing it again.

 

Query: will the 166 timetable be reworked to reflect the newer more accurate physics? As it is, we still have the original timings based on the old jet-fighter performance.

 

Given the original timings were (I found at least) always very difficult to keep to, better physics (if these result in the train accelerating and braking faster) would work well alongside the original timetable and make it easier to run to time. Though I may have misunderstood (taking 'old jet-fighter' and assuming the new one will function as a 'new jet-fighter' - i.e. faster)

 

When the route first released the Networkers acted like EMUs and accelerated like a shot off an aircraft carrier catapult. After much criticism, DTG went back and (yay!) fixed the physics to correspond to the real-life diesel. Unfortunately, the timetable was left alone and it's a real struggle to stay close to on time with the correctly sluggish 166.

 

Liam, the class 166 Turbos do need their timetable adjusting.
As others have said, the timetable is the one from initial release. The preservation crew revisited GWE after a few years and altered the 166s to be closer to the real units but the timetable remained unaltered to reflect the change and it became difficult to keep to timings.

 

DTG Liam, Hi Liam I apologise if this has been asked before is there any extension with the remaster like u did with WSR or will it be the same as the original route of GWR?
