ah i see. thats a ashamed but much understandable.
if this is available for livery editor (unsure mods applies too) then we could've people make branded liveries with it along side a somewhat closer accurate interior.

Yes. All underground stations on the route are now fully playable with passengers, PIS and teleport points.
The track out of Westbourne has been extended too so no random cut off in the players view.

Presumably you meant the Heathrow Express one has a different layout, as the GWR and Gatwick Express units are identical interior-wise to my knowledge (bar the colours)?

GWR have no first class so the seats in this update have been switched with standard class seating and the first class stickers removed.

The only thing I can see that might be before the new year is the Leven Branch extension. But that is a big maybe.

Asides from the MBTA and JT WCML already anounced that will probably be it for the year. Things slow down over Xmas and the new year so don't expect anything until February. Or even a January roadmap.

And WCML timetable fix won't be this year either. So taper your expectations

I don't think DTG ever said that the WCML timetable was being fixed.

    As per October roadmap.

Additionally, as a longer term project, our teams have been working on a wider plan of WCML timetable improvements, including adding new services to the route. These timetable changes do not have a timeline for release yet, and when we have more details we will let you know. As a note, currently these changes are planned for PC, XSX, and PS5 platforms.

Both the WCML route and timetable are getting some work done to them, including some scenery work and new services/fixes.

So I guess then that the Heathrow Express ones will only have the colours changed inside, without the new first class seats or removed tables?

I think the Heathrow express one would have first class as Liam said there are different interiors for each 387.

    Hi Liam,
Thank you for doing the timetable chganges and updates to the route., Can I ask that in Wembley Yard (during these changes,) Can you please remove or "thin out" 5 or 6 rakes of lazily placed intermodal wagons. And please can we have a few more sporadic wagons appear around the yard as well as locos?
Looking forward to seeing this and the GWR remaster :)

    Cheers
    Hentis

Maybe save direct questions about the WCML to a WCML specific thread? Liam has kindly taken time to reply in depth about the upcoming GWE remaster and in my opinion shouldn't be bombarded with questions about a separate route. He has given an adequate response, so just leave off with all the WCML stuff. All that stuff will most likely be answered in relevant threads related to the WCML. This isn't really the place to be asking those questions.

Let's just focus about the topic, GWE, and be grateful that Liam takes time out of his day to respond in depth to our questions and always keeping us upto date with its development.

It doesn't need a moderator to point out where etiquette is missing...

Back on the subject of the remaster of GWE, hopefully we get a few more sneak peaks in the upcoming road map. I'm probably just as excited for this as I am with JTs release.

Are there any changes to the position of the windscreen wipers/seated position on the 165?

They're too high to clear the screen properly when raining. Though that could be prototypical; I don't know.

We currently have a 166 on the route. Did Liam say we are getting a 165 variant? I may have missed this.

From what I understand (and I'm probably wrong), yes and no, the 165 will appear in game but I think it's just a modified 166 to appear as a 165, so not every DMU service is a three car set.

Pretty much this. I have made a 2 car and 3 car formation using the Class 166 with 165 numbering. Not perfect but fills the role of the 165's on the route.

Would it be theoretically possible to create child objects (or whatever the TSW equivalent of them is) which would create the outline for the hopper windows on the 165s? When JT modified the Kuju 166 and turned it into a 165 they weirdly didn't do it, and the main visual difference between the two classes is the difference in hopper windows. Even if the interior stays the same, a renumbered 166 would be more convincing as a 165 if the hopper windows were hacked in so to speak.

Will the air traffic on the route land into Heathrow from the West, or from the East, or will it alternate depending on the wind direction?

Bit of a random question, but will there be services that terminate at Slough and use the terminating platform there?

Thanks for the mention. Not sure how I deserve any recognition, I simply shared my personal knowledge of the route, particularly the Eastern half (Paddington to Slough). Totally agree that every piece of information makes this remaster sound better and better. I only hope to be teased a little more on Tuesday.

Nice one! Will be so good to have these services.

Brings back memories of Rail Simulator days where one of the 166 scenarios is to take train from Slough to Paddington and back!

Believe it's slightly behind schedule as Liam took time out to help on WCMLS. But should be sometime early next year.

Very unlikely. My best guess is that the version for the Xbox One and PS4 will cut out the Underground and 387 services along with any 'bonus' services, but we'll have to wait and see.

Gen 8 timetable support has yet to be decided for the remaster. IF a new timetable comes to gen 8 it will likely be just the 166 and HST services, although I can't say for sure until the timetable is built and going through testing.
