Apologies for not thanking you earlier and for your earlier encouragement to keep at it. You were right that I did finally over come that problem.

thank you for the advice. I had checked up on the Severn Valley route being released by "greggygran" and found my way to the Train Sim Community website, which also had a link to DTG conditions regarding User Content which was helpful.

My loco doesn't include any significant DTG content but it does use their couplings, particle effects (for the smoke) and references their Audio /Sound effects.

Do you know how (or who) to contact at DTG "just in case" as they don't seem to respond very much to threads on this forum.

I think DTG Harry, DTG Alex, DTG Jan and candacedtg are the community managers that are on most often
DTG Matt (executive producer) is on Discord sometimes, but not the forums so much

One of the contributors who has responded to my last you tube video has pointed out that I have the Driver's Brake Valve wrongly orientated
(should be right for Ejector / release and left for Apply. He was quite correct and I have thanked him for the advice.
Apologies to the Great Western Railway for going "the wrong way" !

I am rearranging that and making a few other adjustments before repacking and considering where to go next.

Thanks for your reply. I tend to look at all my hobby projects as a challenge for me to learn how to turn my original idea into reality and I can be quite determined to find a way past obstacles when they crop up.

Sometimes you just have to study carefully how DTG have done something (looking at a child blueprint for example) and get a clue from that. I have been surprised at how much detail and potential there is "under the bonnet" in TSW and all due respect to them.

Not so long ago I thought making my own Simugraph, moving the driver to the "other" side, Lever Reverser and making a tank engine would be difficult as no existing DTG steam locos have these features. In the end it all worked out, although I still have to get an animated fireman working on the other side.

The encouragement from yourself and others on this forum has been a great help in keeping me plodding on so thanks again to all of you.

You have my congratulations on this project; you are bringing the modding community forward on this game.

Don't put pressure on yourself, take your time, even if some bad people try to pressure you (I hope there aren't any).

You have done an impressive job, and I wish you all the best. ;)

Thanks for your support. I think I have nearly done as much as I can on this loco so hopefully I will release it as a mod. in the near future and then try to incorporate design improvements in the Class 14xx.

For example I now know it didn't help to replicate the 4F skeleton (right at the start of the project) so on the next build I will use my own (simpler) one.

    Thanks for your encouragement.
I have been studying Autotrailers and may make Number 13 (diagram F) which was allocated to the Calne Branch from when it was built to beyond 1918 although by 1935 it was elsewhere. It may still have been in the Calne area in the early 30's.

    That's an interesting question.
Since the latest update to the Editor I am having problems getting a new scenario I created to work in the game.(TSW6)
The test scenario worked fine before but now fails on approach to a (clear) distant signal after 3.5 minutes.
Haven't checked whether it is the signal or the time limit that is causing the scenario failure.

I have made changes to the loco as well and noticed that cooking is a bit erratic (sometimes pak. file is only abut 65K instead of the usual 350K and has to be recooked.)

After your comment I tried installing the latest pak file in TSW5. The loco didn't show up but I found the formation in the Scenario planner and was able to make an "off the rails" Scenario. this failed in exactly the same place !

So I think the loco will work in either TSW5 or TSW6 but at the moment neither seems to work.

I will try a few experiments.

    1. Put the backup pak. file in TSW6 and see if the old scenario works again.
    2. Remove the second scenario, recook and pak, and see if the original works.

At the moment I am unable to get the "latest" loco working in the game so unable to release it as a mod.

    UPDATE
The old pak. file (from 18th January) works fine in TSW6 and the one scenario included can be played without any sudden failures.
The second scenario and the improvements I made to the loco (braking , steam effects for Safety valves and drain valves) are, of course, missing. I can also create an "Off the Rails" scenario in game which works OK.

With the same file in TSW5 the Scenario and the loco don't show up in the main menu but the loco can still be used to make an "Off the Rails" scenario.
When I set up to drive Dunster to Minehead it worked OK but the distance to Minehead platform (Objective Marker) was still showing 1.7 miles when I arrived so the Scenario didn't end correctly when I stopped in the platform.(This was OK in TSW6)

It seems that following the recent Editor update I am unable to cook the loco with included scenarios.
I will try deleting both scenarios , recook with just the improved loco, and see if that works in a Scenario Planner test.
If it does then the problem is with the Scenarios, if not the changes I've made to the loco are the problem.
(Unlike my own scenarios the Scenario Planner doesn't include the Fireman - even though he's only sitting down.)

One step forward another back as usual ! Thank goodness I'm keeping back ups at every stage.
