I'm playing on a basic PS5. The game crashes when playing the Hamburg-Lübeck DLC and always at the same place. I've tried three times, the game crashes every time. The place where the game crashes is in the direction of Hamburg at kilometer 16.8. The weather is still and clear. The second crash caused the console to shut down. The system software was damaged. Fortunately, the recovery was successful. I used the DB218 add-on in all attempts. I have all layers turned on. I'm attaching a picture of the place 2 seconds before the game crashed.
Not sure if it's the same thing, but on PS4 I get a game crash in Reinfeld (Km 16,0) towards Hamburg. For me, the Live Map was the issue. If you zoom out too far, the game suddenly crashes right at that point (usually fatally). That’s why I zoom in to about 75–80% on the Live Map, so that you can still see the player icon and the colours of the tracks. Then it will work. I also try to avoid opening the Live Map as much as possible, as that often leads to a crash too. My experience on the PS4 was that the game didn’t crash ‘normally’ – instead, the screen would freeze for a very long time, followed by a black screen (which gave me a bit of a scare). Only then did the typical error message appear. There was only one occasion when I had to switch off my PS4 manually because it kept alternating between a black screen and a grey screen. Since then, I’ve been a bit traumatised by the Live Map xD.
I have submitted a support ticket. It is currently being investigated and has been forwarded to the DTG team.
