Hiya, I can confirm the Sprinter timetable for Fife Circle is still a thing. It has been completed and is with DTG for testing and sign-off. The latest update from DTG this week is that it's still in testing, so a release date is not yet set. It is unfortunate that it's taking this long, but I'm sure the wait is almost over. We suffered a number of timetable related issues across multiple projects in the latter half of last year and early into this year that caused a lot of frustration for the team, but these have now been over come and it's good to be back seeing the release of new content from Skyhook again.
Thanks for the response Luca. Much appreciated. Just wanted to check it hadn't been scrapped as it being missing from the roadmap was a worrying sign. Glad to hear that's not the case.
love to see this Luca and thanks for updating everyone! This is the one update i've been looking forward to most of all. just out of interest, would you as a team ever consider adding extra Class 158 AI traffic to the Midland Mainline route, such as the off-world Nottingham to Mansfield/Worksop services to add more traffic to the area? For me that would be a nice addition but not critical, whereas the upcoming Sprinter timetable to Fife is massively needed and cannot come soon enough, so thank you to yourself Luca and the Skyhook team for working so hard on this!
Its that time of the year when most "slots" are taken up by testing the new edition and all the routes that need to be made sure they work with the new game, and recertified for console. If they are doing the usual new version, 3 routes and 2 locos thats alot of space taken up on the servers with the back catalogue and alot of hours of testing and QA. So there aren't many "slots" open for other projects like there were earlier in the year. And if the blurry texture issue is really a priority for them then you also have those resources and "slots" taken too which means even less. Same thing every year since Rush Hour.
That makes a lot of sense. I don't think the texture issue will ever be fixed on TSW5 fwiw, it's too late in this crazy annual release cycle- hopefully they have it figured out for TSW6 launch if not this place is gonna be even grumpier than usual lol
That is exactly my thought too, maybe it will be fixed for the new version, but I do doubt it will before then as well.
I think its still Happening its certainly gone off radar like the re-mastered version of great western a little more is known about that the Manchester Commuter screen shots have been seen since November 2024 more where shown in Tuesday nights road-map (May 6th 2025) no release date or time scale was mentioned. Seems to me they have gone from one extreme to the other first it was we will release and fix any issues later now they are holding it back to a point where it goes off radar
I don't know how DTG work internally, but it wouldn't surprise me if they effectively had a queue whereby they were testing skyhook things in succession rather than simultaneously, while they work on testing their own TSW6 things. That is to say, hopefully FCL 158 Timetable will be the next skyhook update to release. Then, I believe, I read some things about SHGs American route (can't remember which they made) was getting some updates too.
My theory based on absolutely nothing at all lol. It'll be the next release from Skyhook with Cargo line 4 after it.
That was the plan and I assume it still is. We had the first big update today and I think saw somewhere it was in two parts, so we may get the second part next month as planned with presumably the new 158 timetable
