I guess we will find out tonight when Matt and Sam show off game play, definitely looking forward to this.
So presumably the schedule is wrong, and Workshop Wednesday isn't on tonight, with this taking its place?
The announcement does not include any images or mentions of freight, much less shunting activities -- looks like we'll be Ice-d out again.
If there's no freight out-the-box, it would be nice if, say MSB or RRO were used to add freight if you have them.
Wow! Having been to München Hbf it’s one of the most impressive stations I’ve ever been to, so looking forward to seeing it! Where will the S-Bahn go to? I think I got the S1 to the München Flughafen when I was there, so don’t how much of that route it will cover?
Just saw that and just looked at DB Journey Planner so wonder how much of the S-Bahn we’ll get the S3 in its entirety, well at least from München Hbf anyway?
IIRC the S-bahn in the TS2021 version goes from Munich to Mammendorf. I'd imagine it'll be similar services here.
Taken from the article! “The route is one of Europe's busiest, being used by approximately 300 trains per day, being utilised by large freight trains, regional S-Bahn passenger services, and long-distance highspeed trains. As one of the major traffic axis serving much of Europe, it regularly has services destined for Paris and Budapest appearing on its timetable.”
Yeah but that doesn't mean it'll include freight trains out-the-box. It'd be nice though. Having said that, it does look like there are some freight trains in the background of the main image (even though it's probably been created from scratch and not an image from the game with some filters on), but they appear to be there. Oh yeah I've turned into one of those people who goes through every screenshot and trailer with a fine tooth comb. I suppose we'll find out in about 90 minutes.
I'm pleasantly surprised! Just hope DTG aren't rushing and trying to push as much as they can that'll end up in a bugsaster...
Why freight over the international traffic potential? On this route can run part of the most beautiful European Intercities and Eurocities trains like the Öbb and the Railjet, and personally, I aim to see something of new and different in variety instead of the same 185 (or 155, 182) freight trains we already own in all German preserved routes.
These ready-made trains will probably be quite easy to add. This will increase the traffic on the route. And something new... It would be great! But one brand new one!
This looks very promising! Nice to see the Passenger Information Screens on the stations but on the BR 423 look amazing!
Super pumped for this one, looked great on stream and about time we see some real flex from the layer system, was nice to see a route that looked so alive. Props where props are due DTG look to be setting a new bar with this route so really excited to pick this one up. Also happy to hear there not willing to sacrifice traffic density due to constraints on other platforms, this is exactly the right approach in my opinion as someone who has invested heavily into there PC hardware. Cross fingers this is a sign of things to come with routes going forward.
Have to say, I wasn't really that bothered about another German route (I've still barely played RSN, and have lots left to do in MSB and SKA), but... wow! I'm impressed. Up to 427 services!? I don't think anyone will be complaining about the timetable mode lacking! I'll definitely be picking it up at some point.
This will be my favourite route once released Köln-Aachen is very good but this route just looks and feels more beautiful. Those signal points at München thank you it looks complex and must of took ages to build was very impressed. 427 services can't go wrong and maybe in the future will be more services to come. Also did notice that layers are added for PC and I'm happy to see this implemented for us who use PC. Thank you DTG credit where credit is due.
I appreciate the fact that they are thinking about solutions bringing lots of layers to consoles. Obviously i would prefer the one where they try to make everything less memory hungry, but i take the "choice" option if that´s the only possible one. And i can´t wait to see the red lights at night. Great job guys.
There will be, You get a load of additional services if you own MSB, RRO and HRR. Watch the stream about 10 minutes after it starts.
And just to prove that you can never keep everyone happy, I've already been proven wrong in another HMA-related thread...
The reason people are saying it's lacking is not for the amount of services you can drive, but the amount of services you see WHILE driving. That section of track IRL is very busy, trains passing very frequently, 427 services may not feel the same as the 500+ IRL.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/..._2_Hauptstrecke_Mnchen__Augsburg_Route_AddOn/ Tis up for pre-order for those who are into such things as these.
Too bad I still can't see the RRO on the horizon. I would like to wash the containers before HMA's inaugural run.
They resolved the layering conundrum pretty quickly then. I’m sure TrainSim-Matt said they were still figuring out how to make it work on console during the live stream. I might have misunderstood what he meant though. Nice it’s coming so soon.
