With the new update you did not fix it the headlights for GP 38-2 Union Pacific in Peninsula Corridor San Francisco - San Jose Route Add-On . However the headlights DO NOT illuminate the ground.
Any work that needs doing on preserved collection routes like Peninsula Corridor will be down to the preserved team at DTG when they come around to do work on that route.
All US headlights in TSW are way too feeble. This is a bigger problem than just individual loco models.
At least the US locos have some workable light compared to German locos that are practically useless even set on bright during night in the game . US locos have extremely powerful headlights in real life but most EU trains including Germans also have very good headlights even thought they don't blast light at 500 metres away like the US freight ones. Unlike UK 's vision where light is not needed at night because the train driver does not need to see anything but the signals, headlights are critical for rail safety since you can spot objects on the rails, from rocks to landslides or even cars , large animals and you can apply emergency brakes and make some difference, even small instead of hitting something at full speed. This is especially critical for mountains regions where the line is even more exposed and speeds are slower so EB is even more powerful. I am sorry for the long post
