Hi guys quick question I'm uninstalling most of my dlcs ready for when TSW7 gets here. I just want to keep two German routes going until then. What two routes would give me maximum play and variety thanks.
On console, Frankfurt S-bahn is limited, so Kinzigtalbahn gives more variety. For Dresden - Leipzig, you also need Dresden - Riesa, so that's already 3 routes. But, with only installing 2 routes, there are no of almost no layers, so the variety is mostly gone. I would say Dresden - Riesa is an exception, you can install the BR101 without the need to install HRR, you have the Railpool Vectron add-on, then the only missing train is the ICE from SKA.
Which loco do you need from Dresden-Riesa? I thought the 143 but that is included and I coudn't find out which loco layers from there
You don't need DRA for BLD, unless you are wanting to drive the MRCE 185.5. Actually BLD is one of the better routes for standalone performance because it doesn't need many layers for the timetable, basically just the 193 and 101. The 145 timetable is excellent though.
The expert 101 will only show on the expert 145 timetable. The normal 101 will only appear on the regular timetable.
DB BR 143 and DB BR 363 ‘V 60’ Shunter. Only the DB BR 146 is included, but Dresden without a BR 143 is impossible
Quick question i download stuttgart route with the 147 . On the 147 timetable there is no freight cause there is no 185. Where does that layer from.
So yesterday I drove Dresden Leipzig and I don't know when DTG did that but the BR143 and BR 363 are included in Dresden Leipzig. I deinstalled Dresden Riesa and it worked, so I think Dresden Riesa isn't a necessity anymore
They must have change this then, I didn't understand the requirement for DRA in the first place, just include everything in Leipzig - Dresden. Or did you get both trains from different routes maybe?
I can choose from Dresden Leipzig and a different route, if you want I could send a picture. It's just with PS5 not a screenshot
Ok to be clear, you don't need DRA for anything on BLD. When BLD first came out, DTG did say that DRA would be required for the 143 and 363 services, but this turned out to be incorrect from the beginning. The 143 and 363 have always been included in BLD and you don't need DRA for them or for any other services either. The only thing you will get from DRA that applies to BLD is the 185.5 as a substitution. All the wagons you need for freight services on BLD are already included, except possibly for the Eanos which would come from the 193. The expert 145 timetable for BLD likewise does not need DRA for any freight services.
That is first straight answer I got about this i ask that question months ago and no one reply. And just answer in a few paragraphs. Thank you. But doesn't original dresden provide freight for other routes or do they all now feed of bld.
You are correct that original Dresden is very important for providing layers to other routes, especially Zacns for FTF, SRM, and others as well. Having BLD will not provide these layers; you must have DRA. That is why DTG provided DRA "for free" in TSW6 standard/deluxe and it is also included "for free" in TSW7 special edition. Presumably most people will be more interested in playing BLD than DRA but will still need DRA for the layers it provides.
Great communication from DTG about Leipzig - Dresden and what is included.... The articles about Leipzig - Dresden are mentioning you need DRA for the BR 143 and BR 363. To be fair, it's way more convenient to include them in the route, however DRA is still needed for layers. In the end I hope DTG will include more trains in the core of the game, so we don't need the layers anymore. Then the next thing to fix is the substitution hell and a way to disable certain substitutions per route.
especially stock from older routes. At least in my collection I have many routes installed I barely play just for layers. Ofcourse if the route would get an Update comparable with GWR it would be a different story, but until then...
