I am asking about the title of this issue, due to on a timetable with the BR Class 395, - which was on a platform at St. Pancras termina- , the first thing you have to do, is to uncouple the "double" train. I did it. But I tried to close the "aerodynamic coupler cover" - I do not know which is the right name -, in order the train looks better. That is the first time, I have to do that kind of task on the 395. Please check the attached picture. Any help will be appreciated.
As far as I know, there is a button on the bottom left of the main driver console, the part that you look forward at. I believe it has two buttons that are for the couple and uncouple function near it. I did read that depending on which end you are doing, ie front or back of train, that makes a difference as to which cab you have to operate the button from. I am sure someone else can confirm this is correct if I am wrong. Hope it helps.
To open them - on drivers desk there are three blue buttons to the left of the wiper controls Front couple preparation - opens cover to the front Rear couple preparation - opens cover to the rear Couple - allows coupling To close them - On rear panel directly behind driver seat, red switches and covers The left middle button (only button without a cover) "Unit hatch close" - closes BOTH hatch covers if possible
