I was just wondering how to add links to your signature (below thread). People often have a list of route and loco suggestions and you can tap on them to take you straight to the thread. So can someone tell me how to add them?

    OK, done...
When you edit your signature you can add a link the same as you do in a normal post
    1. type the text you want to appear on screen
    2. highlight that text then click the CHAIN icon above the text entry box
    3. a prompt box will appear for the link URL, paste the URL into this box
    4. Click INSERT
You will now have an active hyperlink in your signature that works as a clickable link. You can format it as you would any other text

Bear in mind that footers aren't visible to mobile users, and also when people fill up their footers with multiple lines of brightly coloured links which appear every time they post, it's a great incentive for web users to disable the spammy footer display too. ;)

This - I have signatures turned off on my laptop - as I much preferred browsing on my mobile where I didn't have to see them :D

I had no idea you could do that. I have just disabled signatures so I don’t ever have to see those long lists of links that nobody ever clicks on anyway because why would they? Hurrah to you for this late improvement to my forum browsing experience.

Thanks for the information on turning off signatures… can’t believe I hadn’t seen that option in the preferences. Now can read the forums without seeing the repetitive and lengthy signatures of some.

Yes, I'm another one who didn't know how to do that. What a godsend!
    Thanks, Factor41 et al.
Actually, this solution was posted by heardturkey last October. Missed it.
