As there is many questions from users how to merge the routes and i have been doing it since TSW 2020 then im gonna give you the direction how to do it Its not basic stuff so it require some knowledge, if you dont know anything about modding and dont know basic stuff how to work with computer and editor then its not probably for you... Part1: So what you will need ? - working editor (TSW 6 is fine for now as 7 is not released yet) - routes which you want to merge - sometimes UAssetGUI, FModel - patience - unrealpak (or any other extracting tool) So first of all you need to have installed editor and the game... you need to run the game before even starting the editor, because editor is detecting the game. - your first step is to pick up the routes which you want to merge - once you know which ones you would like to merge then you need to decide which one will be the main route and which one will connect, once you decide that then load the main route and enter to 2D map and find the spot which is the same like on the other route which you would like to connect... if you hover over track in that same area then it will show you some information + name of the tile just make a note about that tile (you can hover around more and make notes with other tiles too). Once you are happy with your result then open second map... go in that area which is the same like first map and check if the tiles are the same, if yes then you will be able to merge - now its time to extract the route, some users are using FModel for that, some are using UModel, i like using unrealpak so go to your editor folder on your drive and find tool: UnrealPak (of course you can use any other tool to extract the paks, its up to you) and copy unrealpak with all its dll files (UnrealPak-*.dll) into your DLC folder (unrealpak is in yourinstallededitorfolder\Engine\Binaries\Win64) - enter the cmd line, go to your DLC folder where do you have all game paksand where did you copy your unrealpak and do unrealpak.exe yourroute.pak yourroute\ -extract, that will extract one route into your DLC folder under yourroute folder, you will repeat that with the second route (of course you dont have to copy unrealpak into the DLC folder, its possible to create some folder on drive, copy unrealpak there and your 2 route paks too, doesnt really matter) Once you are done with extracting then your tile work will begin: do you still remember which tiles you got the same ? (you suppose to take the notes so x tile is movement left and right while y tile is goes up and down, if the x tile is -number then you go to the right closer to zero, if the x tile is +number then you go left to closer to zero or right to the higher numbers, same goes for y, if its + then zero is up, if its - then going to zero is down... basically if you open a excel file and make the cells same size then you can imagine how is it working - remember, tile is always square, not a triangle or anything else look on your main map route map and select the tile which got for example only rails as less rails is easier to merge then huge complex station with junctions, and remember the same rails needs to be on other map too - so for example for LIRR i picked up tile inside the tunnel which was after the penn station from the LIRR side, there will be your cut and this will be your last tile from for example main route... now that hard part is to delete all same tiles from the second route - you got it extracted in your game DLC folder (or somewhere else)... it include LT_ ST_ TS_ TT_ so for example your route will be x1_y1.umap, x1_y2.umap etc... will go down... and up will be the connected route, so connected route will start on x1_y0.umap, x1_-y1.umap, atc... ... the connected route got of course x1_y1 and x1_y2 too but you can use only one so you delete those tiles and rest of them too if there is even y3, y4, etc... here is example of LIRR and Trenton so you can imagine how it work: Based on this screen, top map is LIRR so everything after penn station from LIRR side is going bye bye, you dont have to delete it, this part you can overwrite if your main route will be LIRR, from Trenton you will have to delete all tiles so from that cut point you will delete penn station all tiles which are after it too so your Trenton route will end right before Penn station (that black square is showing what you suppose to delete on both routes), that count again LT, ST, TS and TT. Now what you can do is create new plugin in editor (you can use Edit->Plugin and green New Plugin button, or you can use File -> New Addon. Once its created then go to your main route outside of the editor and copy Map folder into your new plugin folder so it will be yourplugin\content\Map (that content folder is not showed in editor so you will directly see there yourplugin\Map) After you copy main route there (only map folder) then you go to your second route... the one which will connect) and you enter Map and copy just Tiles folder into your Plugin\Map folder.. it can happened that it will tell you that some tiles exist... if thats true then you need to overwrite them... but make sure that you dont skip the step before when you suppose to get the tile folder ready by deleting some tiles which are not needed). All that copying and moving around is done outside of the editor! If you are happy with your results then you can open the umap file in editor, it will take some time to load and then you can go to the 2D map to check the results... if thats ok, nothing is missing, no blank spots then next check should be visual check, so you go to that merging point to check if the merge looks ok and tracks lineup perfectly, nothing is missing, etc... So quick summary: - pick up routes which you want to merge - check on 2D map if the tiles are the same... some routes can have the same station but completely different tiles so they will not merge that easily - extract the routes and decide which one is main route and then start deleting tiles from second route (only tiles which are after the connecting point!!) - create new plugin in editor and copy map folder from main map there, then copy tiles folder from second route there - open the map in editor - check 2D map, if its ok then check visual part too That was the basic part, so now you got time to test it, learn, explore, understand to that tile x,y system... if you dont understand something then you can ask here ... another day we will continue with more complicated part because this merge is just basic beginning which is just copying one route to another (all that basic stuff needs to be done before you can move on) and dispatcher will not work for the whole route until we finish some more steps... same goes for Names on the map, etc...
