I see a lot of posts about FPS in this channel, and would like to find out how to view for myself when playing. Very much used to seeing this on PC games, but never thought about it for console gaming? How do you turn this on?
My advice is not to bother. It only causes stress if you are not getting the FPS you were hoping for even if it looked alright before. Just ask yourself, does the game run well enough for you or not.
I agree with the above, go back 12-18 months and nobody was bothered about the FPS, now everyone seems to be plugging in keyboards and complaining about it, even though on Gen 8 consoles it’s always been 20-30fps since TSW first released.
12-18 months ago 5/X weren’t on the market. We had no other option but for the way it ran and to accept it. And of course we were all grateful for this game being on console in the first place. most of the gripes these days including myself Been running the 4 backwards compatibly on 5 hardware are it’s been amazing to say the least. 4 on the 5 is now sluggish at times And I shudder to think what it runs like on the 4 I guess if people are creating new threads left right and centre then surely this speaks volume that optimisation is needed down the line? I used to sigh a folk talking FPS in the past and I am going back a few years, worried I’ve become one of them side note, haven’t plugged in the keyboard since my first go the other week. Was purely in the interest of science not to put each route under a magnifying glass
Thanks Everyone for the replies and guidance. I mostly just wanted to have a look out of curiosity. Generally I have no issues with game play at the moment, but it does seem like the Boston Sprinter does respond just a bit slower than the others...Still very much enjoying the route though.
