It would be great to see the Harzerschmalspurbahn added to Train Sim World.

Here is more information about the route and its stations http://www.dampfromantik-harz.de/gleisplaene/gp_dah.html

After the private narrow-gauge railways in the Harz Mountains were taken over by the Deutsche Reichsbahn in 1949, there was an acute shortage of powerful locomotives. The Deutsche Reichsbahn therefore commissioned the “Karl Marx” locomotive construction company in Potsdam-Babelsberg to build 17 locomotives for meter gauge, which were also intended for routes in Thuringia. The 17 locomotives were given the numbers 99 231 - 99 247.

From the end of the 50s and the beginning of the 60s, they took over the entire passenger train and freight traffic in the area of the Harzquer and Brockenbahn. In 1970 they were given the new numbers 99 7231 - 99 7247. After the Eisfeld - Schönbrunn line (Hildburgshausen district) in Thuringia was closed, the four locomotives used there also came to the Wernigerode Westerntor depot in 1973/74. At the end of the 70s and beginning of the 80s, all 17 locomotives were temporarily converted to main oil firing.

In 1993 HSB took over all 17 locomotives. Of the 17 locomotives, around ten are on schedule in the Wernigerode and Nordhausen Nord locations. An extensive reconstruction program ran from 2004 to 2012, which included, in particular, the replacement of frames and cylinders.

In 1955, what was then the Altenaer Eisenbahn district procured from the Talbot company, among other things, two diesel-mechanical railcars to further streamline passenger traffic on their route network.

Later these railcars came to the Langeoog Island Railway. When they were no longer needed there in the mid-1990s, HSB acquired these two railcars. After processing, the HSB initially used it primarily in classic, local public transport in the sense of business, school and regional transport between Nordhausen Nord and Ilfeld.

Since the delivery of the new multiple units in 1999, they have been used primarily in the Selketal or as a reserve vehicle. Both railcars received a general overhaul with new engines in 2015/2016.

In the mid-80s of the last century, the Deutsche Reichsbahn intended to largely dieselize the operation of the narrow-gauge railways in the Harz Mountains. For this purpose, 30 locomotives of the Reichsbahn series V 100 (series 112) were to be converted to narrow gauge. The renovation was carried out in what was then the Reichsbahn repair shop in Stendal.

The first locomotive was finally delivered to the Wernigerode Westerntor depot in November 1988. Regular operation began as early as 1989 with two of these converted diesel locomotives. Eight more followed in 1990 (locomotive numbers 199 861, 863, 870-872, 874, 877, 879, 891 and 892).

After the political change in what was then the GDR, it was quickly recognized that, for tourist reasons, steam operation on the narrow-gauge railways in the Harz had to be maintained as far as possible. So it stayed with the ten mentioned diesel locomotives. These were taken over by HSB in 1993.

Because of the continued use of steam locomotives in passenger train traffic and the increasing use of multiple units during off-peak times and in professional, school and regional traffic, there were hardly any possible uses for the diesel locomotives. Freight traffic had also fallen sharply.

In 1998 a new roll stand system was procured for this, which is why two diesel locomotives were equipped with standard-gauge folding buffers in order to be able to cope with the roll stand service (199 872 and 874). The diesel locomotives also received radio remote control. 199 861 also received a radio remote control for the shunting service in Wernigerode. Four locomotives (199 863, 870, 879 and 891) were sold to Adtranz in 1998. The remaining three locomotives that had not received a radio remote control have been turned off today.

The use of the three operational locomotives is primarily limited to freight traffic, work trains, snow clearing operations and shunting services.

Wernigerode has a main station on the Heudeber-Danstedt-Vienenburg route, on which two regional express lines (Magdeburg-Goslar and Halle (Saale) -Goslar) operate every two hours.

From Halberstadt onwards, this creates the one-hour rhythm.
On Fridays and on weekends, part of the Harz-Berlin-Express (HBX) train stops between Goslar and Berlin Ostbahnhof.

Wernigerode is also the terminus of the Harz narrow-gauge railways. Trains of the Harzquerbahn begin here, which among other things has a connection to the Brockenbahn. Narrow gauge trains hauled by steam locomotives are used on these several times a day up to the Brocken.

V100 is in game as it's 1.435 m Track Gauge version the DB BR204. It just needs a reskin and bogie change for it's 1 metre track Gauge version.

No, that is completely wrong, from the outside it may look like it, but a repaint and bogie replacement is not enough. The BR 199.8 has a completely different driver's cab than the BR 204 as we know it from Rivet.
Picture of the cab, these are still like this today:

    https://www.v100-online.de/index.php?nav=1410405&lang=1&file=lew_15390_56&action=image&position=

It must also be said that the BR 199.8 has a remote control and a different engine, it has a 12KvD A4. So a new build would probably be easier, but yes would be great in TSW!

The V100's look huge on those small tracks in front of those small coaches.

Also, very good information. The HSB could be a fun addition to TSW2.
