While I did make this video on my Xbox Series X. The ideas / Suggestions in the video would be for all platforms, as well as for those who choose to use a controller on PC, Please see links below. Xbox controllers are pretty easy to connect and use; PlayStation controllers are a bit more involved. This may be an unconventional way to post a, or any suggestions, I figured put them all in one, as I can better explain and show the ideas and suggestions rather than make multiple suggestion posts. It would be nice to have these changes made, provided they can be made with relative ease, as the popups that do appear can be a bit distracting and annoying at times, Console players have zero recourse, really, without running around to every train and loco and turning, flipping every switch and knob to help stop the reward popups, where as on PC there are engine, ini edits that can be made, but even on PC, for those who choose not to or rather not edit the engine.ini, the popups on the hud can still as I stated above. My hope is that this video serves to show in fairly good detail and minimal word salids by me, while showing as best as I can, with the assistance of my daughter. She has come a long way with editing with Davinci, I am thankful to have her. Please level your comments below, good idea, crazy idea, could it work, if not, why not? And it would be great to hear from DTG on what is shown in the video. A few items that were left out of the video: I have noticed this on the console more than on PC, but it does happen on PC also, when using a controller, it would be much appreciated from a gameplay aspect to allow the player to choose the control scheme to be used on a given service, be it a Timetable or scenario, I have and I am just guessing that those who use a controller on PC, on console it's a given that a controller is used, while a Keyboard can be used and on XBOC a mouse also but I'm unsure which mouse. But either way, having the control scheme auto-changed can be disconcerting and irritating, can the auto control scheme changeover be removed, or at least have a toggle in the settings to turn it off or on for those who choose it to turn it on? Also, maybe have a toggle in the settings to turn off the popup that asks if you want to give up the service, be it on PC or console, as shown in the image.
Another QOL suggestion that is good to have. Although PC specific, is the game to have Native support for Dualsense / Dualsense Edge controllers with LED bar support (when Train signal is Green/Yellow/Green and/or blinking), and/or Keyboard/Mouse (A)RGB SDK support (Same purpose as the Dualsense/Dualsense Edge LED bar).
That would be good to have, with enough will power, I'm sure it could be done. I forgot to add this to the OP, my error How to use your PlayStation controller with Train Sim World, the following links are the most recent I could find, and/or use the program from the link below: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/ps5-controller-for-steam-tsw4.74113/ https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/what-controller-is-best.31121/ https://ds4-windows.com/
For me, DS4 is nothing new...... As I have an Xbox Wireless Controller, Isn't a big thing for me. Just good to have out-of-the-box Dualsense / Dualsense Edge support.
It may be worth a try and see how the DualSense works out; the Xbox controller just works, and i/we have a good handful of them
