Yes whilst locos buffers have spring in them wagons dont - so when you bunch the wagons up on a downhill and go around a curve the buffers force the wagons off the track

  3. Do the buffers even touch anymore? Last time I noticed, there's always a gap between them all. Another thing on American freight is the constant clanging from the couplings when stationary.

TSW 3 is worth it just for SEHS and Kassel alone to be honest.
Going back to the 3d clouds mod, since most runs are during the day (at least my case) its quite easy to just move the new sky mod to another folder when someone wants to do a night run. Beside the beauty that it brings during day to old routes make it totally worth it !

Its the same with other locos. Buffers are broken currently in TSW

  6. Yea I see when I brake hard now there's constantly a foot gap between all the buffers. Was this to stop the derailments I wonder.

To do with sos, I don't see why dtg don't just delete that physics change that come with sos.

Physics/buffer changes were made due to steam freight derailing which made sos better but everything else worse so they updated the physics again. If they just deleted it, then there would still be problems.

  8. I mean roll back the change that come with sos. I think the change was to make trains with unfitted wagons more realistic but its completely ruined the game for months now.

Quick fixing one DLC and destroying everything else in TSW. Good thinking

Speculation: Maybe the SoS fix wasn't simply reverted when it toppled all those other dominos because that happening meant the fix needed was more complicated and wide-ranging than thought, and the trail needs to be followed rather than going back and finding a new trail.

  11. You are probably right, If dtg had of tested it properly like most game devs these days, they would have seen the fundamental problem and maybe postponed the release of SOS it would have saved them a lot of bad cred over the past few months. They could have launched it with tsw3. (fixed)

I would really love to see the "testing requirements" DTG sets to their "QA".
"We changed the physics engine, do the locos turn green on the outside or instantly derail?"

Bored QA guy from a contractor who does not care about trains or rail simulation:
    "no"

DTG customers after 5 minutes of gameplay:
"OMG, the buffers are completely messed up".

Hello everyone, we have set up a dedicated space to submit any derailments or buffer issues we've been seeing reported so we can compile all the reports together and very quickly diagnose the issue to get it resolved. The link to this is below:
    https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/derailment-buffer-block.60307/

Thank you for your patience, our development teams are currently working on a solution.
