    Route info
The Ulm - Oberstdorf railway, also known as the Illertalbahn, is a non-electrified railway.
of 85 km (53 miles) long mostly single track
Between Ulm HBF and Kempten. Between Kempten and Oberstdorf is it a extra 40 km (25 miles) so it is then in total a route of 125 km ( 78 miles long) the route could be split in Ulm HBF - Kempten and Kempten - Oberstdorf. The max speed on this line is 140 km/h ( 87 mph)

Br 218 DB can be used for IC housing that means two 218’s and the 8 IC coaches. The 218 can also be used for freight.

BR 612 can be used for RB and RE service

Arriva rides also on the line with a BR 245.

I think it would be a very scenic and fun route with a good look on a german diesel route.
