This is the first TSW since 2021 I where I cancelled the pre-order. I do find the new routes interesting but I’ve learned my lesson about getting hyped for anything in TSW.

I’ve barely played 5 in a few months but when I saw some of the previews for 6 I pre-ordered. I fired up NY Trenton to get some practice on the NJT ALP-46. Only to see that over 2 years in the signalling is still so broken that you can’t even stay on schedule on those commuter services.

Quit that route and fired up Frankfurt Fulda, since it’s probably similar to the type of stuff that will be in the updated Dresden route. Drove for about 15 minutes before my entire cab went to blurry textures. Still not fixed over a year later. Quit that route. Quit the game. Uninstalled TSW5 and cancelled TSW6.

I may revisit that decision soon but I don’t have time for the amount of broken stuff that makes it into these games and never gets addressed. I have limited gaming time these days and there’s other stuff that works better and is more enjoyable than finding and reporting bugs like I’m a beta tester.

Blurry textures are a function of underpowered equipment. That is Unreal Engine's method of dealing with tapped-out VRAM.

Yes, NYT's signals are hopeless (I run that route under ACSES and keep ATC off), but Morristown's signals were done by the excellent Brandon/Cactusjuice and so I expect them to be well done.
