Just to add on to Spikee’s response, here’s a couple of examples from one of OP’s other threads. People were nothing but helpful, using the information OP had given.

You can find the same behaviour from OP on the various threads they have open.

Yes - there's times when it's not easy to let personal attacks uncommented, and there's very sick methods in here of framing people, marking them as bullies or police just because of different views. The just closed thread is a fine example how these people operate.

Now even using the Report tool is dangerous according to the new Code of Conduct by Harry.

I had received a one week ban recently without any explanation as to why that happened. I consider myself being straight and direct, and most of the time I'm here to help others, you won't see me posting many questions because I do know my TSC/TSW very well.

I didn't understand the reference. Now I do. That was a horrific disaster, hopefully never repeated.

That def was a avoidable accident .very interesting video about this incident..like i said in that scenario i played the brakes were already released when i sat down to start the scenario i didnt touch the brakes ..i figured then something s glitched or somone messed up when they made the scenario since it was the UP 70ace heritage pak dlc who ever made scenarios for it did it

The horrible thing being NS and CSX still considering to leave these massive trains to a single engineer for cost reduction. They are playing with lives.

Yeah, any hill start scenario where the train's brakes start released is an oversight by the creators of it that would be a recipe for disaster in the real world.

Is that the pack where the right hand ditch lights are dead?

(Or was it Skyhook's NS Heritage pack without number lights and broken ditchlights, not sure atm...)

oh man, the amount of videos I have watched, pdf and manuals I have studied, the official documentations I have skimmed over (not all officially/legally available, lol)... the hundreds of messages and questions on forums I have asked and probed for information

yes, I would also be happier if the game provided more detailed learning, but then it would be like 5x bigger and take year of intense training to learn, at which point you might as well apply for real loco/train driver job :D

I have learned immense amounts of knowledge thanks to the game, the community, the videos and everything, to the point where if I applied for a real job, it still wouldnt be even close to real thing, but I wouldnt be completely lost at the start at least :)

and I have immense appreciation for railway related jobs now... and I appreciate and love the game despite its faults... got more hrs combined on TSW 2+3+4+5 than all other games combined probably, like TSW4 almost 950hrs alone... not only loving it cos, well, trains, but it helps me to cope with my mental issues, sadness and all, almost like a form of therapy

and when OCD or sth hits, this game is like a good learning ground on how to cope with various episodes/states of mind for me :)

while I see where the OP points come from, I still love the game, worth every penny despite its faults... I mean, still lots cheaper than real therapy (tho I would use one for sure :D )

I dont remember any non operating ditch light s i know just that it was that 1 scenario on sherman hill sd70ace ..there was 1 other cant remember if it was UP heritage 70ace or the BNSF 70ace where the dynamic brake lever wont move or dynamic brakes quit or dont work there was a work around somone posted on here in another forum ..which was to flick a breaker switch in the cabinet on back wall off then back on i got whatever it is to work i have no problems running the SD70aces now ,i completed all the scenarios for it in both sherman and cajon etc ..if you replay that scenario or any other just make sure brake s are applied or apply them first thing before train starts drifting away ..etc

also you got to make sure brakes are cut in and you have to do that on the IFC screen i press 8 5 4 3 and2 function keys and on left side it should change from cut out to cut in ..if you dont do that wont go anywhere

Ive noticed too some trains in SPG HSC CJP etc in timetable are underpowered or pusher engines not push even when press banking com button when that happens i start uncoupling cars from rear of train twd front till the train starts moving i figure if its going to cheat me i cheat back.. Other times ive found it takes patience the heavy freights just take longer to get moving ane the heavier and longer the train is brakes take longer to release or apply..it just takes patience time and practice to learn it ..but just play toutorials for all trains first and do them over again till you get it down pat or forget after not playing for a bit. Or there are you tube videos where they show you what to i actually had to watch one how to take a freight down cajon pass in tsw3 after i saw how they did it i did fine..i do try to do it myself before but i know it wasnt exactly right .so i watched youtube video to learn the right way

Yes US RR s have wanted to try 1 man crew trains but luckily the States they run through fight it and the labor unions ..most places have laws that there to be 2 crew members on freights especially longer ones or if hazardous cargo the train that ran away in Lac Magantic was a loaded tank car train
