honestly the more I think about it the more i think I mainly care about the Br blue livery (or something similar to the one in TSW over shap, too many BR blue livery to remember which is which), intercity, old virgin trains, caledonian sleeper. I think thats about it of the livery i do want for the 87. Since i am not familiar with more other specific liveries i am unsure.
For the class 350 its like one of the main EMUs that run on the WCML thats why I kinda want its EP for a better driving experience with it. I heard the current default model is like very inaccurate. (And plus it has LNWR livery, current ones only have WMR as far as i know). And the class 390 sound pack for I heard it gives the train more accurate sounds.

oh and gary, i replied to your question about where I got the 442 SWR reskin here, atm i am not able to use the SWR reskin because of the reskin requiring the discontinued 442 soundpack. You said there was a way to edit the bin file but there was never a follow up after.

i dont know why is as of late I want to do one last sprint because i am so close on nearly finish the WCML which is my goal in the first ever thing to try complete for TSC. And then also other things I want to cater for after i.e covering all Southern (TOC)/Govia trains (455 and its EP, 313 new gen 377, 460 along side its 73 and maybe 456 EP? and basically bunch more.

WCML doesn’t need link from Glasgow to Edinburgh. This exists as a workshop item which lets you divert from Carstairs over the Lang Wang to Edinburgh Waverley

And heck i can have a route that can do Preston to Glasglow without a change of map. Thats why i want that.

 

Preston to Glasgow is now possible. Carstairs link isn’t necessary. You will also have ECML complete

Other than that there is one thing i am honestly quite mad is that once you set the ap weather to one scenario it doesnt apply to the other. What I mean is I want to apply the same every setting to every scenario that I own because honestly looking back, i really dislike the default weather given to me in the routes i own. But now i want to scream my lungs out because every, single no matter what kind of run it is, its all separated in scenarios, a free roam? thats one scenario, a quick drive? thats one scenario. I have the apply the bloody sky and weather pack. 1 scenario at a time... *insert scream here* and i doubt there is a way you can apply the same weather and sky setting to all routes and its scenarios. not even TS tools can do that can it?

Also for some reason when i tried putting the AP weather thingy into brighton mainline route. For some reason the brighton mainline route is locked from editing (aka the train icon on the top left corner i cant select it meaning i cant add any trains at all)

It takes seconds to select a weather pattern, and you're the only person I've ever seen who wants every scenario to have the same weather.

I only read the manual and said that if to get random weather (or simply just no rain to rain from time to time or something of the sort). I had to have it be AP SEP Weather. Place it down connect to a random piece of track. And then nothing else. And at the scenario marker I set the weather as fair clouds (as what the manual said to allow for random weather). And thats what kinda did with it. And thought its gonna do automatic dynamic weather.

 

Read the manual again. I think you're trying to add a weather extension (which AP have decided should be called Dynamic weather).

Also i did something funny in TSC after I know apparently electrostar 375/377 EP can do this.

also got the chance to take up PLD's light bullied when they did a new year sale (if only they did christmas sale then it would've been much easier for me, oh welp). Tried driving it between Preston and Carlisle annnnnnd not long after i departed Preston it quickly ran out of water and I game over :/

notice on the southern unit's number. Basically i tried to number the 377/2 unit as a 377/5, and yes it does fully work auto number and everything. You type a number of a 377/5 unit on the 377/2 unit. the rest of the carriages will number accordingly to that 377/5 unit. (unsure does this work with other electrostar units so you can number them differently. So now we have a 377/5 in a southern livery which never happened irl. Fun to try out lmao.

only the "APSWEP 2O46" exists. But the "Ap weather" just doesnt exist.
Unless the images in the manual are outdated from the previous sky and weather separate EP.

 

What is the base weather applied to the scenario?...what you're getting stuck on is setting the extended pattern.

Yeah, default weather pattern...but my reading of the manual is that to use AP extended/dynamic patterns you need to set the base weather to an AP pattern. Try changing it to an AP pattern and see if the dynamic stuff shows up then.

No...the standard weather pattern box in the scenario marker. Sections 4, 5 and 6 in the image I posted.

That's the weather extension setting...go back a few steps to set up the base pattern.

That aside, I want everyone's opinion on pirating content that isnt available anymore. As there are stuff that are discontinued which affected a lot of different reskins and all and I really wanted those discontinued stuff to use certain reskins. Some time ago somebody came to me on discord having AP stuff. I know pirating is bad and I dont ever plan on doing so with stuff that are available, but what about stuff that aren't available anymore but it is needed for content that needed the not available add ons? Is it worth pirating and or reasonable to do so?

You don't really need most of the Discontinued AP Packs - they are nice to have but don't stop you playing the scenarios
Nothing to stop you from changing the AP EP version to the Default DTG version using LocoSwap.

 

that is true... but now vulcan production's class 442 reskins are completely inaccessible to me.
Not only that and i feel somewhat divested from this. I cant run the GWR Night Rivera which was a reskin by ATS. (whenever I get the GWML collection from JT). Which for some reason it requires the 2 old HST pack by AP (one have already been removed another would soon be redone) and already discontinued MK3 soundpack... and no there isnt any other GWR Night Rivera reskins that doesnt require HST Packs. (And i want some green MK3s to pull).

it is a service that I want to do once i do get the GWML route but now i cant because of old add ons that are already and about to be discontinued.

 

Why can you not apply the reskin for the 442 then change the *bin file to point at the Default Sounds.
But that means you would have to do some alterations to make it work

I saw the pictures was from the ATS page and it does sat further down the reskin will work without the Mk3 Sound pack
You don't need the HST packs as these Sleeper coaches don't come in those packs.

 

Actually, for one of SWR 442 reskins Gary help me with editing the bin. files as I was really unfamiliar with tinkering bin. stuff. Apart from the destination blinds (because the one straight from vulcan have the accurate destination signs for SWR stations) the train can work (tho the interior is still the gatwick express interior in my modified version. Which the vulcan one have accurate SWR interior according to video footage)

and even though i went to the superalbs website a couple times before for some reason I completely missed seeing that they also have a night rivera reskin pack... oops.

 

anyway i tried to download the ATS night rivera pack just to be sure does it work even without the HST packs and yea it doesnt work at all the model doesnt show.

 

ludwigtails I just seen your list from december. I´m suprised you have not gotten the Isle of Wight ticked off your list yet. It should not be more than a couple of Euros in any sale.
I would go for Trent Valley and the 1 Year Subscription at ATS along with WCML Missing Link and the OHLE pack next. That will give you two great routes in TSC and requirements ticked off for lots of other stuff. Many freeware routes now use the OHLE pack and ATS assets.
Afterwards I would look to buying some of the other ATS stuff on discount within the years subscription. The Class 185 is one of my favourites trains in TSC and the other ATS routes are also great. Excluding "Gemma" and the expensive Flirt. I would not bother with that in your situation.
I would also get Hope Valley by JT soon.... another one of my favourite routes of all time.

 

I would love to be able to get the North Wales Coastal 2018/2019. It came out originally in TS2018 and released the following year as a stand alone route. Keys are nowhere to be found. I’m not interested in the Virgin stuff just the route and assets. Anyone know where this can be obtained. There are so many other items out there which leverage this route.

 

i never realised until you mentioned it that the class 185 is a ATS product- oh dear- (and only if we can also officially get a MK5 set for TPE... not the 180 reskin.)
So much other product have taken the priority list and its why I kinda havent got Isle of WIght yet. Tried using it as a money filler but its always either too much or too little that I could've tried to fit something in. Idk when I can get it tbh.
As for hope valley, not getting it unless i get the midland mainline complete bundle because its included in it.

Speaking of the WCML stuff. In fact I have some sort of plan to get all the WCML stuff that I still need in one go with the help of my dad on this one. Trent Valley, ATS subscription, OHLE, Chat Moss, Edinburgh to Glasglow (will drop this one if i am way too over budget) as well as one train that is the Class 319 whenever AP and steam does a sale. That way I can complete the entire WCML by March without needing to wait until June for that to happen.
And I might as well explain my next couple purchases I planned. It has been on my mind for way too long but after completing the WCML (or if i still need to get some other related to WCML), I want to desperately have one purchase to finish up the Southern routes and fleet. That means getting the 455s (as well as SWR), its' EP, Class 313, the 377/379/387 EP, Class 460 (and 73) from steam as well as the north somerset route (because the current version for the Sussex Line needed that for some reason). There is also a thing with Just Trains I want to deal with which also whenever they do a sale I want to pick up their voyager and southampton to sailsbury route, the latter is needed for sussex line. Then there is also the class 350 EP, Class 390 SP (and Class 66 EP) I want to get but dont know when, probs i might just wait for a long time for that those? I haven't considered getting what else is needed (excluding the stuff that are free when i am subbed) on ATS so if anything i missed and is worth getting please do let me know because now i need to also consider the class 185 in my future purchases.

Remember that most ATS products don't require a subscription to buy. It might be worth it for the discounts, but if there's only one or two things you want you'd be better off without the subscription.

I noticed that you've crossed out 'base' for the 313, 315 and 319. I'm assuming that you've bought the AP 313 and 315 and the DTG 319 on Steam. You did not need to buy these. The AP 319 pack is not an enhancement pack and doesn't require anything to run. The Class 313 and 315 on Steam are cut down packs for not much less than the full packs on AP's website.

As a rule of thumb, never buy the Steam versions of AP packs, with the only exception being the Class 90 which has exclusive liveries on Steam.
